Best clam chowder I've ever had, HUGE raves from the family, including my picky kids - and my first time making clam chowder! Definitely a keeper. A very simple, easy recipe to make. Don't forger to add the minced or chopped clams right before you serve the soup to keep them from getting tough. Also, I used whole milk instead of half and half, we are slightly lactose intolerant and we didn't need the extra fat (who does?). If you find that the consistency is thinner than you would like, add a slurry of 2T cornstarch to 2T milk, stir well and add to chowder. Amazing! (Next time I will add more clams and more potatoes.) Enjoy!!!
