Royal Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
Well, my mom wasn't paying attention and mixed the rhubarb in with the cake mixture. So we just put it in the baking pan and I put some strawberry puree we had made before on the top before the crumble topping. We did add some flour to the crumble topping like others suggested. Really good. I couldn't stop eating it!

Apple Crisp I

Simple and delicious. I made a bit more crumble so I could put it on the bottom as well. It was gone in no time.

Spiced Plum Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
Good but not phenomenal. A nice way to use plums that are going bad. Still, a bit too sweet for me.

Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
Easy to make. I served this for company and they loved it. My mother opted to have another helping of this for dessert instead of what I had prepared.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
Fantastic! I made this two nights in a row and no one complained. Try and eat it all the first night though because it definitely tastes better fresh.

Creamy Pineapple Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
I love this stuff! I like the fact that it has real cream in it instead of the frozen stuff that has so many chemicals and oil in it. I also like how versatile it is. This last time, I added strawberries and used pineapple chunks instead of crushed. Sometimes, I change the gelatin flavor. Everyone loves it!

All American Apple Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
With the crust not having to be rolled out and the top being a crumble, this was the fastest apple pie I've ever made. Also very good flavor with a nice flaky crust.

Tabbouleh III

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
I used this recipe as a good starting point. I used quinoa instead of bulgar wheat and I just threw the rest in by eyeing it. Turned out wonderful and so fresh.

Tater Tot Casserole III

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
I didn't put as much milk in after I read other reviews and I put WAY more veggies in it. Basically, whatever I needed to use up before it went bad, I cut up and put in the casserole. My kids loved it!

Special Deviled Eggs

I love the kick of the horseradish and the suggestion of putting it in a ziplock was great.

Creamy Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Flavor was good, though a little bland but I thought it was too thin and needed more broccoli. A good basic recipe to branch off from.

'Out of Salad Dressing' Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
This was pretty fast and easy. But the best thing about this recipe was the flavour. Amazing! I used lemon juice in a bottle and garlic from a can, but it still turned out wonderful. I can only imagine what the real thing would taste like.

A pretty heavy meal, but then again, it IS mac and cheese. It was easy to put together and everyone loved it.

Apple Pie Filling

This is great! I have used it for pie, dump cake and pancake topping. I also plan on using it in muffins! A great way to use extra apples at the end of the season.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
For a turkey meatloaf, this is really good. And I love that quinoa is added instead of bread crumbs. I thought mine turned out a bit crumbly so I will use another egg next time and see if that does it.

Pumpkin Wheat Honey Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2010
I loved these! I put chocolate chips in the first and second batch but left them plain in the third. I also used applesauce in place of oil in my second and third batches and left out the honey for a lower calorie muffin. Compared with the first batch in which I followed the recipe, they were slightly heavier and slightly less sweet, but still amazing and something I am happy to give my kids for snacks. They love them.

I thought it was a little bland, but I will still be making it again with a bit more spices. A unique way to use apple butter!

Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
Everyone is right about leaving it to let the flavors meld. I canned mine mostly. The flavours really come out after it has sat for a bit. It was a bit thicker than I wanted. Next blueberry season, I will add less cornstarch.

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Smooth and delicious! I added Bailey's mint chocolate liqueur instead of a coffee one and a little less coffee so my kids would enjoy it.
