Fudge-Filled Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
Don't worry Coralie, uwasvwaya is rude to many in her reviews. If you click on her user name and look at the reviews written, many were rude and demeaning, even hateful towards others. You shouldn't be made to feel stupid for asking a question. Some people have more experience than others and the only way to learn is to ask. While I do think it is more expensive to buy Crisco in stick form than it is to buy it buy the tub and measure it out each time, I also think it is easier and a lot less mess. You're the one using and paying for it, so it should be your choice. It certainly doesn't make you lazy. Also, she was wrong because each stick is one cup, unlike a stick of butter which is a 1/2 cup. Good luck!

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
I've found it easiest to put the turkey in my very large soup pot instead of a bucket or trash bag. Then either sit the bucket in a cooler with ice packs in the garage or in the snow at Christmas time!

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
If you like a dry, almost fluffy cupcake, than this is for you. Flavor is good, but I like a heavy, moist cake and can't get it to happen with this recipe. I've added more Crisco, even some oil and baked just till cake tester came out clean. No go. Disappointed.

Flank Steak Pinwheels

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
Yummie. We did this for a pool party, so I wrapped my completed rolls in heavy foil and we did it on the grill. We grilled it in the foil packets for most of the time, then unwrapped them towards the end and put them directly on the grill for the rest of the cooking. I can't really give times because we did 4 of these at 2 pound steaks each, but we did them on medium heat and I think they took about an hour or so all together. The guests raved about them...as did my dad...and he's extremely picky about meat and flavorings. My onions didn't get crunchy, but I did them in my electric chopper, so they were very fine. I used the bread crumbs and I think it gave them a little bulk so things weren't too mushy during slicing and the layers held their shape beautifully. Easy to do and delicious!
