Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2014
Unbelievably good! I also added 1/2 cup of blueberries on top of the cinnamon mixture because we love blueberries. I WILL make this again. (Note- it's not quite as sweet as some banana breads so I might add another 1/4 cup of sugar next time- but that is definitely personal preference.) YUM!!!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2013
Made this for the first time. I made them as muffins as directed. They are fantastic!! The only thing I did different is to add pecans on top of the batter in the muffin tins before I put the topping on. I also had the butter for the topping at room temp and mixed it with the flour and brown sugar mix with my fingers. It worked great!! Thank you Lisa for a great banana muffin recipe!

Brandied Shrimp with Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
Okay- I made this tonight for the first time. Followed the recipe exactly but used sun dried tomatoes soaked in olive oil and some of the white wine. Better than most restaurants by far. Every age group present loved it, even my husband who doesn't eat much pasta and usually refuses shrimp. Get the good dry wine, fresh Parmesan, fresh basil, and medium to large deveined shrimp as suggested. You will NOT regret it! And have everything ready when you start. There is not much time from starting the pasta to finished dish.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
This is fantastic. I add salt to taste, and a little black pepper. You can also substitute finely chopped jalapeno peppers if you like it a little more on the spicy side and ditch the cayenne pepper. YUM YUM YUM!

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
If you are a salmon "purist" you won't care for this recipe. It's "sweetened salmon". Even in 100+ degrees outside, I should have just grilled my expensive salmon. I will look more carefully at the ingredients next time. The breading didn't great crispy as I thought it would, either.

Old Settlers' Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
I have made this recipe at least 20 times in the last few years but I use from 1/3 to 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar. It doesn't need the white. It is my all-time favorite bean recipe - goes with every meat in every season even though it has hamburger in it, and it never ceases to bring "please give me that recipe!" comments. It can be made in the crock pot also - but make sure and don't over-cook. If you need to, you can add an additional can of beans - I add butter beans. Y U M M Y!
