Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
So amazing! I got complement after complement on this and I loved it too! Not to heavy and not to light. I followed a few other reviewers suggestions. I first beat the sugar and cream cheese together (careful not to overbeat) then added the rest of the ingredients plus 2 teaspoons vanilla and beat on LOW (careful not to overbeat). I baked it for 3 hours & 10 mins at 200 and then turned off the oven and left it in for about 2 hours (would have done an hour, but I wasn't at home to take it out). We ate it the next day with the "royal raspberry cheesecake" sauce and whipped cream and fresh raspberries. So good mmmmmm.

Pumpkin Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I liked this one quite a bit. I also used Apple Cider Vinegar rather then the sherry. I tasted it before putting the ham in and really liked the flavor. Wasn't as big on it with the ham in it, but still got complements about the meal. Definitely good weird :) I think next time I'll skip the meat.

Seven Flavor Hamburger

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I didn't like this recipe. I just tasted like Ketchup. My boyfriend asked me what were the seven ingredients/flavor and after I had told him, he said that all ingredients besides the ketchup itself, are what combine to make ketchup! No wonder it tasted so strong like it! I won't make this one again (but I don't like ketchup). No one said they liked it either.

Brown Rice and Black Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I enjoyed this one, but it seemed like it was missing something. I took the advice of some other reviewers and added shredded carrots, and canned corn as well as doubling the rice. Also I only used cheddar cheese. Couldn't quite figure out what was missing though. Maybe garlic? I did realize after the fact that I used chicken broth instead of veggie broth. Maybe that did it. I'd make it again though. Everybody liked it :)

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I enjoyed this recipe a lot! Took the advice of one reviewer and turned it into a slow cooker meal. I put all the sauce ingredients together in the morning and then turned it on at about 275 degrees for 6 hours. I put the sauce through a blender just before adding the meatballs cause I don't like big cooked tomato pieces (even though I used 5 cans of diced tomatoes and 5 of whole tomatoes). I took the advice of adding a can of tomato sauce too. I didn't use fresh bread crumbs for the meatballs as I couldn't find any, so I just used dried ones instead. Also, I forgot the garlic powder in them, so I just dumped a bunch extra in the sauce along with some Italian seasoning and more salt and pepper. I also added 2 extra eggs to the meat balls, but I was making the recipe x5(not sure I'd do that next time though). I added the meatballs an hour before serving and cranked the heat to 350. Turned out great! Especially served over whole wheat pasta. Yum
