Fruity Curry Chicken Salad

Exactly the same recipe as another on this website..I'd printed both and made it for lunch today. My picky husband had 3 helpings... If I could rate this 6 stars, I would.

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
Exactly as advertised...GREAT ! I doubled the recipe for guests and it was gone before I even got any.. good thing I tested as I cooked. I might try adding onions next time...or, I might just make it the same way......

Blueberry Clafouti

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
I made two for an evening BBQ, one, fresh cherries (pitted them myself) and the other with raspberries, black berries and blue berries. They came out perfectly.. My guests had a choice and chose both with a scoop of good vanilla ice cream. I gave 5 stars because I found this can be mixed in a blender or food processor with great results.... will save time.

Clemons Family Bean Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
Very good, similar to one I've made in the past. It was enjoyed by all and the leftovers were added to some beef enchiladas which turned out great. I followed the advice posted on this site and cooked the spices with the ground beef.

Gluten Free Ginger-Honey Crunch

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Made this for a big boating weekend. Used half ginger and half cardamon with good success. Put in dried bananas, dried pineapple, minced candied ginger, almonds, and dark chocolate bits (when cooled) Only about half the people liked it... most dissenters disliked the bananas for some reason. I thought it was very good.

Grilled Asparagus

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Incredible ! Really good. Used my garlic infused olive oil, sprinkled on a little kosher salt (it's milder) and some fresh thyme from my garden and grilled for about 3 1/2 min (asparagus were large)... As I might have mentioned, they were really good !

German Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Made this for a group of friends on a boating weekend. First night I liked it, but most others didn't... somehow the sweetness put them off. Next day I added a bit more vinegar and more salt... it was received better. Next morning I fried the leftovers in a little bacon grease until well browned and served it with eggs to RAVE reviews... Maybe I should have done that first..

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
My grandson (12yr) made this last night... he added a little grated nutmeg, used 1/2 white 1/2 brown sugar and half the amount of butter. It was terriffic served with a little vanilla ice cream... He was pretty impressed with himself and I have to say, it looked easy to make and impressive to eat...

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
Followed the recipe (I did use ketchup instead of tomato sauce), marinated for 45min, grilled them perfectly and the "Giant Prawns" looked great. My husband and I both thought they were OK, but not our favorite. I think that hint of vinegar just did not go with our idea of a perfect flavor. Probably won't make this again with so many other great recipes out there.

Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
looking for something for a quick breakfast, thought I'd try these. Used frozen hash browns (worked just fine) chopped shallots and a little soy milk to thin out the batter a bit. They came out wonderful, tasty, crisp and I'll make them again without any hesitation. I only gave 4 stars because they weren't like my dad's, which used less flour and were much more crispy....but then again, I've never been able to duplicate his potato pancakes and probably never will.

Ahi Poke Basic

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
Very very good. Actually better than what I've had at a local restaurant which is known for their Ahi Poke. I did add a touch of fresh ginger and left out the nuts. I made a small amount (1/2 lb of Ahi) just for me to try. I'll make this again for a crowd.

Mini Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
Oh, my goodness, these were awesome... I did make a couple of slight changes..... added a bit of cooked finely chopped bacon and some minced chives... left out the garlic in the batter. The biscuits were incredible... the garlic butter topping was perfect... don't use too much though, or it can be overpowering. Each bite was a burst of all the flavors... cheese, bacon, chives and a little garlic.

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
Fantastic and easy. My 8yr grandson made these as a homeschool project. He used a mini muffin pan and they came out as perfect little biscuits that he shared with his awed family. I'll make the mini's myself and serve as hors d'ourves at my next party.

Very very good. I used Pork & beans 30oz can and drained about 1/3 of liquid off. I cut my bacon in pieces and folded them into the beans after they were done. I'll make this again....many times....

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
I followed the recipe to the letter and my cookies certainly don't look like the picture. They are flat (too much butter & shortening) taste is good, crunchy& soft at the same time (good), texture is oily and crumble very easily. Not my favorite cookie.......

Grape Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
Great taste...could be used in a salad as well as on sandwich thins. I substuited english muffins. I didn't have infused oil, so added a bit of minced garlic and it worked out just fine. Also, I might suggest letting it sit overnight or at least a few hours in the fridge to meld the flavors. Better the second day ...third day I used it on salad...

Date Nut Loaf Cake

Very nice and not too sweet. I used Pecans and only baked it for 45 min....came out perfect. I opted not to make the sauce. Date Nut Loaf was wonderful plain!
