Sweet Potato Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
This recipe was excellent and just what I was looking for....no changes necessary! I did have to allow for additional cooking time, but they have been due to the fact that I doubled the recipe and was cooking two pies at once.

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
This is the easiest, quickest, best-tasting Alfredo Sauce I have ever made! There's no going back to anything else once you've tried this!

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
I came across this recipe right after Thanksgiving and, of course, had lots of leftovers! I used cut-up turkey, stuffing, and shredded cheddar for the filling and turkey gravy to dip them in. Turned out pretty good! The crust recipe was very easy and tasted great!

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
I took one of the suggestions to use a rack in the pan. That worked out great and got both sides evenly toasted. I don't think I'll ever do grilled cheese on the stove-top again!

Hot Buttered Apple Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
This is like drinking warm apple pie! Delicious! I tripled the amount of cider but only used 1 cup of maple syrup. Turned out great and has been enjoyed at several family and holiday get togethers!

Mom's Sweet Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
My kids gave this "thumbs-up"! I was a little leary of the 3/4 cup of sugar and went a little shy of that, but when I make it next time I'll use the full amount. I also used fresh mushrooms instead of jarred. We are definitely keeping this recipe!!

'Day Before Payday' Kielbasa and Corn Hash

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
We loved this! I just made a few modifications to make it easier. Instead of cutting up potatoes, I used frozen Southern Style Hash Browns-less prep and less cooking time. I thought the red pepper flakes might be too spicy for my kids, so I pulled out MAGIC Seasoning All-Purpose Blend, and it did the trick! I also doubled the recipe and put the other half in a ziplock bag in the freezer. Now I have a meal ready to go!
