Napa Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
I didn’t know what to expect from this recipe… but I’m sure glad I tried it.. It was awesome! Tips: *grate/shred the cabbage by hand not in a food processer. The longer you have the cabbage setting the more water that will come out so the drain/squeeze the water off if you let it set for a long time. *DO NOT USE the seasoning package from the noodles! That’s a big mistake. *Aftert i baked the crunchies for a while,I did broil them to ensure they were supper crunchy! I didn’t have almonds so I used pecans, I also didn’t have green onion so I used yellow onion and it still turned out great, can’t wait to make it with the correct ingredients. For me it wasn’t too sweet, oily, or water. It was perfect. Thank you for the recipe!!!

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
Well, This was my first time making a sweet pot. pie, not to mention I've never liked any store bought one that I've tried. But This was soooo good. Many said it was too sweet, but not to my taste. I think the next time i will do 1/2 sugar and 1/2 brown sugar. Also i may try baking the pot. opposed to boiling just to see if there is a difference. I used a store bought pie crust and it was filled to the brimm! Thx so much for the recipe. I cant wait to make another one!

Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
This recipe is just like my moms-almost- my moms has 3 tablespoons in the pretzel mixture and 1 cup of sugar and 8 oz of cool whip in the creamcheese mixture! Like other reviews: BE SURE TO LET THE BOTTOM LAYER COOL, REFRIDGORATE THE MIDDLE LAYER, AND I EVAN PUT THE JELLO MIXTURE IN THE FRIDGE BEFORE PUTING TO LAYERS TOGETHER, TO INSURE THE LAYER STAY IN THEIR CORRECT SPOT! also mix the sugar and cream cheese well before adding the cool whip. I also take my finger around the edge of the dish after i put the cream cheese layer in, that way I make sure that no jello gets into the pretzel part. I love this dish! Family favorite!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
This recipe is a KEEPER! I love recipes that you prep inadvance and use up all my fresh herbs! I pounded my boneless chicken breast(since i wasnt making this as kabobs), halfed the salt and the oil-and marinated my chicken for about 5 hrs. and WHoa- Good! I also pounded out my chicken. IT was moist - cut with my fork- Something about the grill just brings out all the flavor.. and the little burnt crispie edges were the best! Will def. make this again and again.. ThANKS

I grilled, mushroom, onion wedges, and yellow pepper, with the fresh herbs- in the grill wok- kabobs are alittle to much work.. the wok is much better! thank you very much for the recipe my HUSBand loves this!

Slow Cooked Teriyaki Venison

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
I feel the sauce is wayyy to sweet (as is).. Ive made this twice now, and made a few changes which now I feel makes its a 5 star recipe. I suggest using 3/4 cup or LESS of the brown sugar, add crushed red pepper and garlic. I sautted peppers and onions in a frying pan and then added it to the gravy when i added the cornstarch-This is a MUST! My cook time was much less, app 3.5 hours.Thank you for a great recipe

Crawfish Bisque

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
My husband and I tried this, and we liked it very much :) It was easy and tastey! Next time we will probably add some type of veggie, just for a little crunch. we also used milk because we had no cream, we think it turned out just fine. Once it was in the bowl we add just alittle cheese ... & served with toasted french bread! Def. a keeper!

Cheesy Creamed Spinach

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
I love this recipe. Its easy- you can just use what you have on hand. Once you make it once- no need to measure because its very forgiving-and just use whats in the fridge :) I subbed sour cream and milk for cream sometimes. We also added bacon. Bacon makes everything better. We were getting tired of our same old side's- we are not spinach lovers... but after this! WE ARE! My Husband asked for this weekly.
