Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2014
After trying a different recipe for this using flour, I decided to go the cornstarch route. I used 32 oz of chicken broth instead of the recommended amount, used a can of cheese soup instead of the cubed processed cheese, used half the milk and half of the cornstarch. I dissolved the cornstarch in the milk and ommitted the water. It was marvelous! Next time I will use two cans of cheese soup.

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2013
I used fresh broccoli and let it sit in the chicken broth for a while and added a can of carrots. Instead of onion, I used onion powder and added some garlic powder as well. I couldn't find my white pepper, so I used black. IT IS FANTASTIC! My son who doesn't particularly care for broccoli loves it! YUMMMMOOOO!

Baked Potato Soup III

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
I am only giving four stars because I added spices to it. I saw that someone else said it was bland, so I added garlic (fresh)and some onion powder. It came out delicious and I've made it several times. It tastes like TGI Friday's baked potato soup. YUMMY!

Olive Oil Roasted Eggplant with Lemon

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
Very easy and delicious. I did what some others recommended; let the eggplant sit and added other spices. Then when it was 3/4 done cooking, I transferred it to a long glass baking pan and layered sauce and cheese and baked. I will make this again!

Nana's Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
Just made this for chicken breasts on the grill-OUTSTANDING! I used onion powder instead of chopped onion, didn't have any celery salt and used regular mustard as I didn't have any mustard powder. YUM!

Rosemary Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
I made this on Mother's Day and used a pork loin and cooked it in an oven bag after it had been marinated overnight. It was so easy and a HUGE hit! I will be doing this again. I served it with oven roasted veggies...so good!

Country Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
Followed the recipe to a T and it was really great! Next time will top with cream cheese frosting or possibly add chocolate chips. I am not the greatest baker, but this was easy and tasty!

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
This was delicious! The only changes I made were cheddar instead of swiss cheese, 1tsp of onion powder instead of the onions and spinach. I will be making this again.

Scallop Scampi

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Instead of margarine I used butter, other than that I followed the recipe and we loved it. My 9 year old son even loved it. Next time I will try adding shrimp with the scallops.

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
I decided to alter this just a little bit. I added garlic and Italian seasonings as well as some spinach (as I am always trying to sneak vegetables in where my kids won't notice). I served it over cheese tortellini and it was a fast, easy TASTY meal with a very nice salad. YUM!

Bob's Slow Cooker Braciole

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
The only thing I changed about this was using my own homemade marinara sauce. My dad is originally from Italy...he doesn't eat jarred sauce lol. My husband and parents enjoyed it and I loved the fact that I was able to make it in the slow cooker. Definitely a YUM in my book!

Ham with Honey and Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I didn't have any cloves so I left them out and used orange juice instead of orange. We loved it!! I'm not much of a ham cooker or eater but I cooked this for something different and it was a hit!!
