Have been married for 48 years couldn't cook when we got married. Had to learn on my own and now I get lots of compliments...
My favorite things to cook
Most anything but if I had to choose it would be soups in the winter and grilling in the summer I love to make pies of any kind
My favorite family cooking traditions
I cook for the family at Thanksgiving and though we live in a small house we are still able to have all here and enjoy each other. I am so thankful for this time with all. I am ask to make oyster dressing every year.
My cooking triumphs
Cooked for 18 years and got payed for it. "loved it" learnt a lot.
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married we had a turkey given to us at Christmas and I thawed it for three days on the counter.. Oh Lord what a smell... Will never forget that one Ha

Pecan Crackers
These turned out fabulous. My husband asked if they were hard to make and I replied no so he said would you make more soon? I put the graham crackers on the cookie sheet with parchment paper and they were so easy to remove when they cooled. Great

Jalapeno Bread II
I make this for my husband once a week. The only change is I use the dough cycle on my bread machine and can form it any way I wish, then bake for 30 minutes in 350o oven...Love It
