Vanilla Wafer Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
I took other review advice and used 1/2 cup less sugar and half the amount of coconut and it was perfect, not too sweet and very rich and moist. Will be trying with other add ins instead of coconut. Yum.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Excellent. I too doubled the recipe and it fit perfectly in my 9x13 dish. My family loved it for our Christmas brunch! I used a package of Grands buttermilk biscuits instead of bread. Bake them until golden brown and cut into pieces in place of bread. Delicious. Also, we don't eat pork so I used 2lb turkey sausage seasoned with worceshire sauce and onion soup mix. (turkey sausage is very bland) Also added hot pepper flakes. Next time I'll add onion and green pepper when no kids are eating. Another great add in is Ranch dressing, leave out dry mustard with ranch. This is great. Def will make over and over again!

Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Great base recipe for shortbread cookies. I added chopped candy cane and about 3/4 of a bag of mini Tollhouse morsels. I then dipped one side of cookies in egg white and granulated sugar, then baked em. Yummy. Very rich.

Harvest Corn Chicken Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
I doubled the chicken and left out the ham, I used fresh corn from the cob, but the Thyme gave an overbearing taste. Not sure if I slipped and used too much, but we really did'nt care for the flavor of that. Aside from that this was delish!!
