Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
This recipe is so simple and absolutely delicious! I added poultry seasoning, cumin, salt and pepper as recommended by other reviewers. I only used 1 can of homestyle biscuits. I cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. I added biscuits 4.5 hrs into cooking. Served 6 hours into cooking. My husband and 5 year old son loved it! They both wanted it for leftovers the next night. They NEVER want leftovers. This is a must try recipe!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
I used a 3.5 lb pork butt. I cooked it in my slow cooker for 4 hrs. I drained the broth and shredded the pork. I added the pork back into my slow cooker with approximately 1.5 cups of bbq sauce. I set the slow cooker on warm and warmed it up for 30 minutes then served. The pork was cooked perfectly. I added more bbq sauce on the pork sandwiches so everyone could have their choice of hot bbq sauce, mild bbq sauce or honey bbq sauce. For how easy this recipe is to make and the few ingredients required to make it, this really is a great recipe. A keeper! Especially for the nights I don't feel like cooking! Great leftovers too!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2013
This recipe was so easy and yummy!!! I used vegetable thins instead of Ritz crackers. It was all I had.I added garlic salt and pepper and parmesan cheese to the crackers. I baked at 400 for 15 minutes uncovered. Then spooned the melted butter on top. I layed foil on top of dish for an additional ten minutes because the crackers were browning. Did not want them to burn. The chicken turned out perfect. Super moist and flavorful!

These are the best tasting and easiest meatballs I have ever made! I will never use another recipe! Next time I make this recipe, I will make double the recipe in order to have some to freeze. If you have a family of three or more, I would recommend to do the same!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
These black bean burgers were very tasty! Super easy to make. My five year old boy had fun smashing the black beans.:) After chopping the veggies in my blender, I strained them very well. I added more bread crumbs as recommended by other reviewers. I froze the burgers for about 45 minutes before baking in the oven. This recipe made 4 average size patties. I let the patties cool for about 10 minutes after baking. The patties were still pretty delicate. Easy to break apart. If you like store bought black bean burgers, you will love these! They taste exactly like the ones I bought from costco...just fresh tasting and not hard like the costco ones always were. Next time I make these, I will be adding corn and chop my veggies by hand so the patties have a bit more texture.

This is the best grilled chicken! The chicken is super moist with a wonderful flavor. The mustard, honey and steak sauce are very subtle. I have never grilled chicken that turned out this moist and tasty.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
This recipe was very good. I used 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon as suggested by other reviewers. The cinnamon taste was still too strong, in my opinion. Next time I make this recipe, I will cut back on the cinnamon even more. I only added 1.5 cups of cheese to chili during cooking. I garnished each bowl with a few pinches of cheese and green chilies. This dish was a bit spicy from the green chilies. If your family can't handle spicy....cut back on the green chilies. My five yr old son loves jalepenos and made a comment that this dish was hot to him. I served this chili with cornbread muffins which ended up working out fine together.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
This is the absolute best potato soup I have ever tasted and the best soup recipe I have ever made! I made the recipe exactly as written except I added more ham for my meat loving boys. This is a keeper! You must try this recipe!!! The pepper made the soup quite spicy, which we love. If you or someone else doesn't handle spicy very well, you may want to add less pepper. Enjoy!!!
