Grilled Marinated Shrimp
I am not a big shrimp fan but my husbadn is -- these were outstanding. But, i marinated for about 4 hours, cooked for only 3 minutes per side to not overdo, and did not baste as it flared up too ,uch. They didn't need basting -- they were great. Would be great on pasta, we ate on rice, and i think would be good on top of my casear salad as well. We will make them often!

Slow Cooker Spaghetti Bolognaise Sauce
I am a vegetarian and I loved this. I miss the richness of a good meat sauce, and even my semi-carnivore husband liked this. I doctored up the spices a little, and used zucchini instead of okra as we don't care for okra. When you first make it, you will think it'll never taste good, but give a good 24 hours in a crockpot, and you wil be pleased.

Grandma Johnson's Scones
YUM YUM YUM!!! I love scones and had gotten addicted to the lemon scones at Starbucks -- they are nothing compared to these. I made new varietes based on this recipe by adding extracts to teh sour cream mixture just before blending -- lemon, cranberry orange, and cinnamon raisin. They were all great! These also freeze really well. I divide the dough into half or thirds though before final kneading and shaping as these were quite large. They still come out a decent size. Mix it gently lie pie crust, an they will be great!
