About this Cook
My husband is an amazing cook, but he works... So with his amazing patience, I became "crazy cooking lady" and made 5-6 home-cooked meals a night for a while.. I try to do gluten-free meals when ever I can and always focus HEAVY on the veggies!!! I love this site! Happy Cooking!!!
My favorite things to cook
Lentils, and anything in my slow cooker
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom was all about the butter-- my husband threw that tradition out-- our tradition is VERY little EVOO and LOTS of SPICES!!!
My cooking triumphs
Indian food!! Also making a casserole the other day was fun...
My cooking tragedies
I cannot bake...I have no patience for it!

Sweet Potato and Apple Soup
Wonderful soup! THRILLED with this recipe as a base. I omitted the cream and the lemon and used only one tablespoon oil. No cheese needed. It was so good!

Best Black Beans
Simple and excellent... Even better with fresh lime juice.. Also, the garlic and onions should be sauteed first..Otherwise, this is a flawless recipe!!!

Lentil Chili II
Prep is easy, setting up this dish to cooking is VERY easy, reading all the reviews: scary... Currently cooking this "chili" and when I told my husband I used chili powder in the lentils, he got very nervous.. And I am nervous... And I read all the reviews and have already doubled all the spices, and added garlic powder, onion powder and celery salt! I also added Sriracha Chili Sauce because someone recommended this (and I had it) We LOVE chili, we love lentils, we love hot... Fingers crossed.. Doubled the carrots and celery too... Will update when its done..
