My Best Clam Chowder
I think I may have make a mistake in making this soup. Clam chowder is my husbands favorite and he loved this soup(much better then the can, he said) I think I will have to make this often. :) the first time I made this I followed the directions except instead of adding water to cover the veggies I added a jar of clam juice. The second time I did this and added the bacon and bacon grease like everyone else suggested. this is a keeper, thanks

Fried Black-Eye Peas
these were really good, I had some leftover black eyed peas that needed to get used up- they were dry beans, of course soaked and cooked. I used my hand blender to mash them, but left some a partly unmashed. I also roasted the red peppers myself. Next time I make them I think I will add more flour, so they stick together better. Also I think they need a little bit of sauce. I will try a few out next time and see what I like best.
