Festive Bean Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
Really good...and not having to add meat cuts the cost of making it. The only change I made was popping it in the oven for 20 minutes at 350. It was very good served warm. Also, I dirtied a couple of pans trying to find one that was a good size for the layers. A 9x13 worked best.

Vodka Rigatoni

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
Everyone Ive cooked this for really likes it. I usually substitute ham for prosciutto because the prosciutto is a bit pricey and its still good.

Good. I make these all the time. The bacon can be optional.

Great...i put the juice in a sauce pan and a few teaspoons of cornstarch and the sauce thickens right up.

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
This is a really good recipe...but it's super rich/fatty. I think it might work better as an appetizer for a party. I think next time I'll cut it into small pieces and serve it before the main meal.

Mexican White Cheese Dip/Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
Followed the recipe almost exactly. I just diluted the recipe with a little extra milk at the end because I thought it was a little too cheesy. It was addicting...not quite like the kind you'll find in a Mexican restaurant...nonetheless very good.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Very good...I can never find the italian style plum tomatoes so I just throw in a little basil, oregano, and garlic powder. Also, parm cheese goes well with this dish.

Slow Cooker Beef and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
This was edible but not that good. While the meat was very tender, the sauce just didn't do it for me (and I love mushrooms). If I had to make it again, I would definitely use fresh mushrooms instead of canned. Don't skip the red wine if youre going to make this.
