Banana Cream Pie I

Wow! This is so good! I have never made pudding/custard and was able to pull this off no problem. I usded cornstarch and did not bake the pie. The consistency was perfect- exactly what I would expect in a cream pie. I decided to mash up 2 bananas and give them a good mix with the vanilla. I then added this liquid banana mix to the pudding. Oh my the pudding is soooo good! I'm wondering if some people's pies turned out runny because they covered them and put them in the fridge with they were still warm. I put the pie in the fridge uncovered for the first 20 minutes to let the steam escape and then I covered it.

Theses are way too good! You will love them if you are a Reese's fan. I think they are much better when they are at room temp rather than just out of the fridge.

Ultimate Frozen Strawberry Margarita

I would highly recommend these to anyone who enjoys margaritas you get in a restaurant. They taste very similar. I used about half the alcohol called for and some still felt they were a bit strong. I thought they were perfect . Thanks very much for the recipe. They were a delicious addition to ladies night!

Italian Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

These were yummy! When I sprinkled the oregano, I also sprinkled some parmesan cheese. Using the marinara sauce for dipping reminded me of mozzarella sticks…mmm! These would be really good cut into strips for appetizers!

Pasta Carbonara

This was very good pasta! I used herb and garlic cream cheese, and this combined with the bacon flavour was very tasty. I have tried cream cheese pasta sauces before without being too happy with the flavour, but the cream cheese flavour was NOT overpowering in this recipe. I used penne pasta, and the sauce coated nicely. Next time, I think I will try seasoned chicken in place of the bacon. Yum!

Caramel Popcorn

This recipe makes really, really good caramel corn! I used smart pop microwave popcorn, as it was all I had on hand. I took others advice and kept the popcorn warm until ready to mix. It mixed very easily and coated extremely well. I found it helpful to take to popcorn out of the pan while it was still hot and place it on parchment paper to cool and get crunchy!. That way none sticks to the pan. After about 10-15 minutes I was able to break up the popcorn easily. Very good!
