Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Best meatloaf I've made! Only thing I changed was to put the brown sugar and ketchup on top of the loaf, rather than the bottom. Also, I made it in a loaf pan, and though there was a lot of grease, I just poured it out of the pan after it was done, so it only sat in it while actually baking.

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Not sure what went wrong, but they didn't taste like any of the hashbrowns I've ever eaten. They ended up tasting more like the oil than fried potatoes. However, I saved them and mixed them with ground beef and shredded cheese for dinner, which was much better than by themselves.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Awesome! I made it for a "Fake St. Pattie's Day" party and everyone loved it. If you are serving 6, I'd say the serving size is a bit small, but with side dishes it would be fine. I added a little garlic salt and pepper to the ground beef. Otherwise cooked as directed.

Banana Banana Bread

I was excited about this bread, because it smelled great while baking. Unfortunately, 60 minutes was far too long to bake it, and the bread turned out dry and somewhat blander than I expected.

Beef-Stuffed Squash

I didn't have any Russian-style salad dressing, so I left it out. I also didn't have lemon juice, and substituted orange juice instead. I also used smashed-up crackers in place of the bread crumbs. I even forgot to add the egg (somehow) and it still managed to come out wonderfully! I followed one review and cooked the squash in the microwave to begin with, starting with 5 minutes. My advice would be to minimize the time to 3 minutes depending on the power of your microwave, because though it was a lot faster than baking, the squash literally started to tear and fall apart. Thanks for the great recipe!

This was my first time eating Naan bread. I followed one reviewer and mixed the minced garlic with butter and brushed it on the bread while grilling. My family LOVED it. It turned out better than I could have expected, and it was fairly easy to prepare as well.

Hot Vanilla

As is, I'll rate this as a 3 star recipe. Next time I will follow some of the reviews and mix the sugar and cinnamon first, then the vanilla, and finally the milk. I will also add another tsp of sugar, as it wasn't quite sweet enough for my taste. Still, a good starter recipe - thanks for sharing!

Homemade Flour Tortillas

This was my first attempt at making tortillas, and they turned out pretty well! I had a hard time rolling them out to proper thinness, so I just made half of what the recipe called for. They seemed a little stiff at first (might have added too much flour) but tasted great with enchiladas.

Chicken Parmigiana

Despite a lot of my breading falling off, this was amazing!! I added salt and pepper to the chicken while breading it, and added some Italian herbs over the cheeses. Everybody loved it!

Fantastic Focaccia Bread

This was super easy to make! I added some Italian herbs, garlic salt, and minced onions over the olive oil before baking. It made 4 good-sized roast beef sandwiches, and everyone loved it!

Glazed Meatloaf II

People are raving about how moist the meat is, but for some reason it seems too moist for my taste. The glaze was wonderful, though. I may try this again substituting crackers for the bread, as my family usually does.
