Slow Cooker Borscht

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
I love Borscht and we loved this recipe! I hope those that like Borscht don't overlook this recipe. The only thing I changed was leaving out the stew meat. And only because we find it a little too heavy with meat. Other than that I didn't change a thing! Thanks for the great recipe!

Perfect Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Great recipe once it was adjusted just a bit as per reviews. Less cornstarch for sauce, less sugar (1/3 Cup was fine) Fairly easy to make which means it's right up my alley! Thanks!

Linguine Pasta with Shrimp and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
This was very good. I made and used a Cajun Seasoning from a recipe on AR. The only changes were to add some dry basil (had no fresh) and heavy cream as suggested on a post by the creator of the recipe. Good stuff!! I'm sure this will be asked for often. Thanks for the recipe!

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
My kids came in and weren't overly impressed by how it looked but after they tasted it..well, lets just say this didn't last long. They devoured it! Ok, maybe their dad and I helped a little bit!! So good with jam on top of the cream cheese mixture! I'd have to go along with the other reviewers and say just generously brush on some melted butter. Wonderful, easy recipe. Thanks!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
We loved this. I added more onions, garlic and curry powder and about a tsp of cayenne pepper. I also cooked the curry powder in the oil for 5 mins first and the onions and garlic for another 10 before I added the rest of the ingredients. Simmered for an hour and 20 mins with the lid off and it was thick and so good!

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
My son, who smothers everything green on his plate with cheese sauce on Thanksgiving, said these tasted too good without it! There were many more compliments on these but that topped them all. This will be on the Thanksgiving menu from now on.

Ruby Drive Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This just took the place of another home made Sloppy Joe recipe I've had for many years. Very good. I added onions and green peppers and used less ketchup (I doubled the recipe and didn't have enough) but it worked out great.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Using Italian sausage is fairly new to us but with recipes like this, I have a feeling I'll be cooking with it a great deal more. We really enjoyed this. Thanks for the recipe.

Daddy's Whisker Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
I guess I was hoping for something different than our family potato soup. It was good though.(love potato soup!) I added more dill and I still didn't taste it. Maybe it's me. DH said he noticed the difference.

Mocha Walnut Cookies

These are wonderful! Exactly what my sweet tooth was looking for. Mine came out a flatter than the picture but I think it's the age of my baking soda.

Honey-Garlic Glazed Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
These were good. Rich so I couldn't eat that many but with the extra garlic I put in the meatballs, it had loads of garlic flavor. Husband says "it's a keeper" and had 3 helpings! I see this being asked for on a regular basis!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
The flavor was wonderful. I did add a little less balsamic vinegar from reading the reviews, not much less and I do think I would have enjoyed it with the full amount. I also pounded the chicken for a little more absorption of the flavors.

Rockin' Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
Tried it as written and did have a few comments about it being too sweet so next time will either omit the sugars or at least half them, but it was chunky, good flavor and had the right amount of kick for the crew around here. I'll definitely make it again.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Loved this dish. All I added was the fresh garlic slivers tucked into the meat. The sauce made a really lovely robust gravy when thickened with cornstarch. I'm loving the slow cooker these days and this recipe was one of the easiest to make.

Honey Cornbread

Made into muffins. Baked for exactly 15 mins and they came out perfectly. Huge hit with everyone and was asked to make another batch the next day. Delicious! Added the suggested salt but other than that I wouldn't touch a thing.

Family loved it. I think next time I would make more of the Ricotta sauce but that's it.
