About this Cook
I am a Market Farmer with my husband. We raise chickens for eggs, bees for honey, and a large garden for the Farmer's Market. I am a member of the Slow Food Movement, and grow Ark of Taste heirloom vegetables. You can find my farm at LocalHarvest.org as The Farm of Hard Rocks.
My favorite things to cook
I cook seasonally, that is, I don't buy or eat foods that are not in season in my local area.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmother, and my Mother were great Southern cooks. I learned to cook and eat fresh, seasonal foods at an early age.
My cooking tragedies
I once a made a pizza and used hash browns instead of mozzarella cheese by mistake. I had a lot of strange looks at the table!

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn
I made this for a potluck from my own garden corn. It was hard to take it to the potluck because I wanted to just sit down and eat it all by myself. No sharing.

Blueberry Stuffed French Toast
Delicious, but needs nearly an hour to bake. I put three eggs in a measuring container, then added the milk to equal 3 cups, not 3 full cups of milk. I sliced sourdough baguette in 1/2" thick rounds and made "sandwiches" out of 2 slices - not cubed bread on top. I would add more blueberries next time. Any spices you wish will only improve it.

Cranberry Wreaths
they are delicious, but what a mess! All my filling scooshed out, so I made the wreaths and scooped the filling into the middle.
