Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
I made this for St. Patrick's day, and it was a hit! Everyone went back for seconds. I did change it a little bit, because of what I had on hand. I used instant mashed potatoes, skipped the mushrooms, frozen mixed veggies, and then added a beef biuillon cube. Very easy, and very good!

Loved them right out of the oven, but it didn't taste as good the next day!

These bars didn't have very much of a lemon taste.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
I made this recipe exactly as it's written. While it has potential, it was rather bland. I would definitely recommend adding the bullion cube and onion soup mix!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
I made this exactly as it's written, and it had really good flavor. I added potatos and carrots the last 2 hours, and they tasted great with the gravy. Next time, I will brown the roast before I stick it in the crockpot, because it was a little dry. Easy, simple prep, and it was ready when I got off work!

Spinach Enchiladas Verde

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
Great and easy! I made this as a casserole instead of rolling each enchilada individually. I doubled the sauce recipe, and added a small can of green chilies to make it spicier. My husband doesn't think it's a meal unless there is meat, so I also added chicken. Will make again! UPDATED: The leftovers didn't taste nearly as good as it was straight out of the oven. I wouldn't make a lot of leftovers.

Cheddar Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
It was quick, but the Ranch dressing was a little overpowering.

Avocado and Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
I brought this to a cookout, and it was a great cold side. The flavors mixed well, and the avocados didn't turn brown, because of the lime. Very easy!

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
LOVE this recipe! It has replaced my grandma's mac and cheese. I used the cheese I had, which was 8oz Velveeta, 4oz sharp cheddar, 2oz shredded swiss, and 2oz shredded mild cheddar. The cheese did look too soupy when I added it the noodles, but after I baked it, it was perfect! I did have to bake 20 minutes longer. Creamy, smooth, and cheesy! Everyone loved it!

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
This had really good flavor. I tried to use margarine instead of butter and half and half instead of heavy cream, and the sauce didn't get as thick as it should have been. Next time I will try corn starch, but I didn't have any on hand.

Cabbage and Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I made this recipe as is, and it definitely needs a little more flavor. Next time I'm going to add more garlic, and some ground turkey. It's worth making again with some additions.

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This recipe is amazing! Easy to make, and great warmed up! My husband keeps asking me to make more, and he usually doesn't like beans. I tried topping it with salsa, ranch dressing, tabasco sauce, and hummus to create some variety, and all were really great!

Di's Delicious Deluxe Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This recipe was so good! I did listen to other reviewers and added in some dijon mustard. If you don't have a chopper, it can take forever to get the celery and onion small enough.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Loved these cookies! They were quick, and came out perfectly. The cookies weren't too hard and weren't too soft. Perfect for cookie cutters. The dough was really hard when it was done chilling, but after working with it, it softened up.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
This icing was the perfect sweetness for the sugar cookies I made. It dried quickly and looked pretty. I did have to use a lot more milk than the recipe calls for. I continued to put in teaspoons until it was the right consistancy. Don't try to make it without a mixer!

Savory Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
This was my first attempt at deviled eggs, and they turned out perfect. I was afraid that the celery and onions would be too crunchy, but I cute them really small, and it was great. I did use a suggestion and added 1 tsp of dijon mustard.
