Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
These were awesome. I used 2 cups of chocolate chips and 2 cups of powdered sugar like others suggested, and they turned out great. Will definitely make again.

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: May 18, 2013
I really loved this recipe. I'm not a big fan of egg dishes, but I was looking for a quick meal I could make with ingredients I had on hand. This dish was delicious-it didn't taste "eggy" at all to me. I didn't have muenster so I just used whatever shredded cheese I had (I think it was cheddar and a Mexican mix) and it was still awesome. I'll definitely make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: May 10, 2013
I was pleasantly surprised by this recipe. I almost panicked when I left the chicken in the crock pot with the tiny amount of butter, but all these reviews reassured me that it would turn out great, and it did. My husband even said this was my favorite chicken dish I have made to date, so this one is definitely a keeper.

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
This is a great cookie recipe. I was a little worried when I pulled them out of the oven at 10 minutes because they did not look done at all, but they ended up being amazing. Will make again!

Simple Beef Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
The sauce was great, but the ribs were not very tender even after 4 hours. Next time I will try it in the crock pot!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
This was pretty good! It wasn't exactly like the restaurant kind; it might need a bit more spices and flavors. But it's a fantastic base recipe and I will definitely use it again!

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
I pretty much only made these because I saw the sauce had Mountain Dew in it and I thought there was no way this could taste good. This recipe is amazing though. It's simple but so good. Make sure to spoon the sauce over the dumplings before serving!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
I had never made cranberries before so I was a little nervous; I cooked it for about 20 minutes and it was delicious!

Italian Peas

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
These peas tasted just like any other pea dish. I thought with the garlic and onions and chicken stock it would put a new spin on this bland dish, but I felt like it was a lot of extra work that didn't result in any better of a dish.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
These were yummy! I did one set with chocolate cake and chocolate frosting and another with vanilla cake and vanilla frosting. I think I grossly underestimated how messy these were to make though; I will definitely make them again, but only if I buy the egg separator that everyone keeps mentioning.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
I liked this casserole a lot and I made it exactly as written. I'm a little confused by all of the people using more eggs than the recipe calls for; I was so nervous only using 6 eggs but it turned out great and even 'eggier' than I anticipated. I would think using more eggs would turn this dish into a frittata and not a casserole. I was also hesitant about cottage cheese (who knew?) but it really turned out great.

Split Pea Soup with Rosemary

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I've made this twice now and both times it turned out fantastic. It's a very forgiving recipe too-one time I didn't have leeks, rosemary, bacon or carrots so I just used extra onion, oregano and turkey sausage and it still turned out fantastic. The only problem I ran into was cook time-mine took over 2 and half hours to get to the consistency we like it at, but I also live at a high altitude which could be why it took so long to cook. Even if you don't think you like split pea soup you should give this a try.

Easy Tiramisu

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I've eaten a lot of tiramisu, but this is definitely the best tiramisu I've had. I chose this recipe because I forgot to get half and half and this was the only recipe that didn't use any. I was so skeptical while making this-I didn't know if I beat the eggs long enough and I was worried the filling was too bland. But once it all came together it was perfect!

Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
These cookies are fantastic-even for a sugar-free cookie. I used stevia and they turned out great. I used a heaping tablespoon for each of my cookies and baked them for 13 minutes-they didn't seem done at all when I pulled them out of the oven but once they set out for a couple of hours they were perfect.

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
I'm not a big pork chop fan, but these turned out great. I didn't use salt in the rub since so many other reviews complained of saltiness, and I used boneless pork chops. I browned them for 5 mins on each side and then cooked them in the broth for 15 minutes and they were already done, so be careful if you're using boneless chops. I also made the gravy recommended with 2 TBS of cornstarch and 2 TBS water along with a little fresh sage and it was awesome. This will be a staple from now on!

Baklava

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
This recipe turned out delicious, but I was confused on a few of the steps. My box of phyllo dough had 18 sheets in it, and once I factored in the 8 sheets on the bottom and the 6 on the top, there weren't too many layers with nuts, so I had a lot of the nut mixture leftover. I upped the amount of the sauce by 1/2 since so many suggested it, but I had some leftover, so I think the amount recommended in the recipe is perfect. I also had quite a bit of butter leftover, but that was probably my fault since I was paranoid about it turning out mushy. Even though I was really worried, this turned out fantastic!

Baked Falafel

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
The flavor was really good, but it was a little on the dry side....I just added extra sauce to it and it was fine. I was really excited that these didn't fall apart while cooking like my black bean burgers always seem to do.

Peanut Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This was great! I didn't use the amount of soy sauce it called for because I ran out, but I made up for the liquid difference with more hot water. It was a little thick at the end so I just added some more hot water until it was the consistency I liked..I also added some chopped peanuts and cilantro at the end. It turned out perfect!

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
These are fantastic! I used 2/3 cup of lemon juice and added an additional tablespoon of flour to the filling as suggested by others and it turned out perfect! I used aluminum foil in the 9x13 which make cleanup easy.
