I am a beekeeper and enjoy using my natural honey in cooking and baking. I garden using raised beds. I have six now but am planning on two more this spring.
My favorite things to cook
My heritage is Eastern European so I make many of the dishes my grandmother and mother made---chicken paprikash, polichenka, spatzel and cabbage. I am also working to perfect my Italian tomato sauce with great success. I've just started working with oven fried food, fish, chicken, to achieve crunchy coating without all the oil and fat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I always make pickled beets and eggs for Easter. The recipe is from my mother-in-law. Also, when my grandkids visit and when the weather is cool, I make cinnamon toast in a rather unique way that my mother used---real comfort food.

Slow cooker meat loaf, horrible.
