Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Really liked this. My first time making risotto and it turned out perfect. I toasted the rice first in the pan with a little oil and at the end I added lemon zest.

Key Lime Pie VII

This is the best key lime pie I've ever had and it was made by me. Fairly easy too. I made my crust with crushed spice cookies and almonds ground up in food processor. Awesome recipe

Wisconsin Native's Beer Cheese Soup

Just made this and although I'm exhausted I really like it. I thought it would be thick since I've never had a thin beer cheese soup but I have to say - I like it better thin. Too often you order this in a restaurant and the texture and taste is similar to Old El Paso Cheese sauce in a jar. Can't wait to serve it at my dinner party - maybe I'll report back and maybe someone can tell me if it's supposed to be thin or did I mess up texture-wise. My husband says it's delicious and he doesn't hold back when asked.

General Tao Chicken

I read RDeans review and therefore added garlic - was very careful with the ketchup. I loved it and my husband was crazy over it. I followed the recipe but I didn't measure and it turned out awesome anyway. It isn't that it's a hard recipe just lots of ingredients. I think this would be good with shrimp too. Thanks for this one

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

so good - my only issue is why does it take them so long to cook. It took much more than an hour. I have this issue every single time I make scalloped potatoes. But this recipe was so good it was worth the waiting and waiting...

Honey Mustard Dressing

so very good - I too, wanted a non mayo recipe - why this dressing needs mayo is beyond me. I used olive oil instead of veg. oil. Used this recipe many times with good reviews.

changes I made: cooked the noodles, sauteed onion, used real cheddar. My teen said there's no way she's eating that. When we were done she admitted it was good. Will make again for sure.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole II

I made a few of my own changes plus incorporated other similar recipes so maybe I don't have a right to rate this recipe. I didn't cook the chicken first but baked it longer just over an hour (two large cubed chic. breasts). Added sour cream, finely chopped onion, garlic clove, added cheese to the soup mixture plus on the top, didn't use mayo and didn't boil the soup mixture first. It was delicious and leftovers are gone too. Also, I only used one can of cream of chic. soup

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Soft Gingerbread Cookies

they just need to be sweeter but these are great - soft and tasty. Added more spice as suggested by one reviewer. The dough was hard to work with but manageable. This is the recipe I will use every Christmas.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

good recipe, easy to make and roll out. I tried to make it healthier by using half whole wheat and white flour. It didn't go over well with my traditional husband. The rest of us liked enough for seconds but there was a difference. Can't wait to use this again with strictly white flour.
