Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
These are the bomb! I put the dry ingredients in a zip lock bag a week before the holiday to allow the spices to melt into the flour. Then I grind the cranberries, add the orange juice and orange zest. I freeze that, on Thanksgiving day I then assemble these so they are fresh out of the oven. We love these muffins. I always do a double batch and bake them in jumbo muffin tins. We really like them for breakfast with a simple omelet, too. THanks for sharing!!!!

Coffee Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
These cookies are one of my favorite. Let me suggest the slivered almonds, they give the cookies a little added crunch and texture. There is no liqeur in the recipe as one reviewer mentioned. I was thrown by that and didn't make the cookies because I thought I had to have liqeur. The recipe clearly calls for instant espresso powder. I get a mexican variety at our local grocery. Love these and make them often!!!

Dog Food Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
When I tell my friends the 'real' name of this recipe, ALPO dip, they say NO WAY! It's just hamburger and cheese, but it is so good! Never had it turned down for it's name, they embrace it, after tasting it the first time, it's history. I've always had it devoured!!!

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I love love love this recipe!! I've been making it but never rated it, this is so perfect every time. I time the syrup once it is boiling and I can't stir it down. Throw away the thermometer and follow the recipe, it works! I've never had issues with it at all. Makes a good 3 pounds. It is great for a large gathering, or for trays for your friends, or gifts. Thanks for sharing, Janet!

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
LORD HAVE MERCY! These are the best cookies! I make sure to time after they are boiling really good! The mixture looks a little runny, but when you mix and they start to cool, once you drop them on the wax paper or foil, (I use a silpat mat) they will start to set up. By the time I have all 60 done, they are looking dull and setting up. I have made this recipe for 25 years, I am so glad to see it on this site! Thanks Cindy for sharing!!!

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I'd give this recipe 15 stars if I could! I put the cake right into the freezer, it makes it so moist and good! I don't do anything fancy when mixing it up. I pretty much just toss it all into a bowl and mix! I love the frosting, yeah, it's sweet, yeah, it's not healthy, but I'm having CAKE here, not an apple! Have a little fun. The time and the temperature are right on if your oven is taking longer, check with a thermometer. Turns out mine (oven) was broken!

Lemon Whip Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
OMG! I love this recipe! I've made it so many times, I can't believe anybody has a hard time with it. The can of lemonade has to be used frozen, don't add water and make it into lemonade. It has to be 6 oz. I love the salt and the sweet together! My family loves it, I also color the filling like suggested, it is so pretty!
