Delicious Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
Excellent recipe. I left it chunky and had to add a little bit of water at the end. I also threw in a couple of handfuls of kale. Very filling and comforting for a cold fall day. Thanks so much.

Strawberry-Rhubarb and Cream Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
Excellent recipe. I probably added an extra cup of strawberries and only used 1/2 butter for the crust to make sure it wouldn't be greasy. It turned out lovely. Thanks so much.

Rhubarb Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
Very good cheesecake. I thought there was too much butter in the crust as it came out quite greasy. I will only use 1/4 cup next time. Pecans would be great too. Thanks for the recipe.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
Very easy and tasty. I made this with a extremely robust beer that I really couldn't stand to drink but it made great bread. I also made self raising flour by adding baking powder and salt to the flour. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
Very disappointing. I thought I was going to be making a real treat for my family but all we got was greasy chicken without much flavor.

Raspberry Peach Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
This made a very excellent pie. I only used 1/2 cup of sugar and a store bought graham crust as DH doesn't like pastry. I will be making this regularily. Thanks for the recipe.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
That was the best pudding I have ever had. If only people were more aware as to how these types of things were made and how easy they were, no one would ever buy that gross instant stuff ever again. Thank you so much for the excellent recipe.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
I will not be making these too often as I could not keep out of them. What an absolutely fabulous recipe. I used greek yogurt and added fresh blueberries and lemon zest. I also made a simple lemon juice/icing sugar glaze for the top. To die for. Starbuck's doesn't come close. Thanks so much for one of the best recipes I have come across in a long time.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
Was pretty disappointed with this. It sounded very good and was very quick and easy but there wasn't too much else going for it. Pretty boring. Sorry

Coconut Curry Tofu

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
This was fantastic! One of the best recipes I have tried on this site. I found the tofu to be unnecessary so I will leave it out next time and get protien from quinoa. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
What a fabulous soup!!! Rich and hearty. I used olive oil instead of butter and only 1 tbsp of it. I cut the dill to 1 tsp as I didn't want it overpowering. I used a whole quart of vegatable stock because I didn't think I would like it as thick as it was looking with only 2 cups. Creamy enough without the sour cream. Thank you so much - I will be making this often.

Colonial Brown Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
What a fantastic bread. I had buttermilk to use up and this did just the trick. I halved everything due to the lack of that much buttermilk and I sure wish I had more. Will make again. Very quick and easy. Thanks so much.

Tiramisu Toffee Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
A truly excellent dessert. I made this for Christmas and it went over very well with numerous requests for the recipe. I couldn't buy any poundcake as the stores were all sold out so I made buttermilk poundcake from this site in 2 loaf pans. I couldn't find any chocolate covered toffee bits so I put 2 dairy milk with toffee in the food processor. I also whipped the cream first and then whipped the cream cheese and chocolate and then mixed the two together. I layered everything twice. Thanks so much for the great recipe.

Hearty Hot or Cold Roasted Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
This soup tasted pretty good. If you want a thicker soup, don't add all the broth, maybe 1/2 of it. This would be a great base for more hearty versions. I removed the skins after the tomatoes roasted so it would be smoother.

Cherry Dump Pudding

Excellent recipe. I completely butchered it as the marg was frozen and since I had fresh sour cherries, it took over and hour to pitt them but it still turned out great. Thanks for a great way to use my Evan's cherries.
