Yummy Apple Pound Cake

Pumpkin Roll Cake

Made today and only thing I chamged was to do 1/4 tsp vanilla and 1/4 tsp almond in the filling. Was so easy to make and while it did have a crack in one place, it was because of me and not the recipe. I needed to put more powdered sugar on my towel to keep the cake from sticking and pulling. I loved this cake and can't wait to make more!!

Homemade Laundry Soap

Thanks to B'Nana for this wonderful recipe. Tried for first time last night and loved it. Made 1 batch of Kirks Castile and 1 of Fels Naptha. Also did the vinegar as softener too. After only spending $20 on the supplies, I'm a believer now!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Made this last night and it's great! Next time will try 1/2 applesauce and 1/2 oil instead but I was out of applesauce. (Toddler in the house, hard to keep around) Used pumpkin pie spice and cloves-

Chicken Brine

My family really enjoy when I use this brine, then roast the chicken in a 350 deg oven. Cook for about 25-30 min per pound. I also rub my skin with butter to make it crispy.

Microwave Bread and Butter Pickles

Couldn't believe how well these turned out! Made exactly as directed, but left out the onions as no one else in my family would have ate them. Even my skeptical dad said these were great. While they did turn out a bit limp, they still had wonderful B&B flavor. Will check out other reviews to see how people kept them from going limp during cooking. Great recipe!

Cheesy Creamed Corn

I have tried this recipe several times and made it different ways as well and it always turns out great! While I have never used frozen corn, canned corn works just as well. This time I didn't have time for the crock pot, so I opened 2 cans of corn (drained), butter, 4 slices of cheese, 8 oz cream cheese, about 1 tbsp sugar, then milk and water as suggested for 6 servings instead of 12. I put all of this in an 8x8 baking dish and cooked in 375 deg oven for about 45 min. Served as a side to Chicken Cardon last night. YUM! Have also made this in crock pot just as suggested and took to church supper and everyone loved it. Great recipe, just watch the amount of sugar if you don't want it too sweet

Rainbow Clown Cake

I made recipe exactly as written except made cupcakes for the 4th instead. They turned out so wonderful! I didn't swirl any colors, just put blue on bottom, then left white in middle and put red on top. My family thought they were awesome. Topped with cream cheese frosting and cut up strawberries to top with also.

Stephanie's Freezer Spaghetti Sauce

Thought this made a great homemade sauce. I did use fresh basil instead of dried for more flavor. I cooked for 2 1/2 hours then had to put in fridge overnight (it was already 11:00pm) Next day I added tomato paste but had to add almost 2 6oz cans to get it to my own personal desired thickness. Believe this recipe is a great one to tweek to suit your own tastes.

Key West Chicken

Made exactly as recipe called for. It did have a good taste and my chicken was moist. I personally would tweak it next time as I found it a tad bit too salty from the soy sauce. Couldn't detect lime at all. Will keep the recipe as my husband liked it, but will probably play around with the ingredients to suit my own tastes.
