Whole Wheat Muffins

This was a nice recipe. I followed all the necessary modified changes. But they came out a little dry, maybe I overbaked them. I will try again.

Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Muffins

Well I made this recipe with the modified changes. They were tasty. But a little dry. The smell was nice while they were cooking. I think the dryness came from maybe me overcooking them alittle. But I will tyr again.

Easy Pancakes

i am giving this recipe 5 stars. i double the recipe. and it turn out wonderfully. Its easy and tastes great and i have all of the ingredients in my kitchen. No more box pancake mix

Creamy Rice Pudding

I made this pudding during Ramadan for Suhoor (predawn meal) I have been looking for a nice creamy rice pudding recipe. this is and was a winner. My husband requested again. The only thing was i made it with basmati rice i think it would probably be better with Uncle Ben's or a more fatter grain of rice. I just had to cook it a little longer. but it turn out really well.

Lentil Soup

I made this soup during Ramadan. It was a nice winner in our house especially with my husband. The only changes i made was i used middle eastern soup spices that is famous here. And it gave the soup a very nice taste as well as aroma. This soup is very filling after fasting. Thanks Joyce! :0)

Chicken Pot Pie VI

This recipes was really a big hit with my children. I made it for iftar during the month of Ramadan, but for the crust i used "J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits" recipe It really tasted homemade just like my mother's.

Pecan Pie I

this recipe was nice but did use the substitutes: light corn syrup and 1/2 c brown sugar instead of white sugar. The pies turned out really tasty nad my family really enjoyed them

Carrot Cake III

This was a terrific cake. I followed the recipe completely except I used only 1 cup of oil. It came out very moist and tasty. I will definitely make this again. My husband and kids said give this recipe five stars.

Easy Sugar Cookies

I was really excited when i found this recipe. I finally tried the recipe. I followed each step and the cookies turn out hard and NOT Flat. I will give the recipe 3 stars for easiness and quickness, but nothing else

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

As a person who grew in the south and a strong southern cooker, dessert is very important especially after meals.This was a wonderful recipe. It reminded me a lt of my mother's wonderful triple layer cakes during holidays. It was very easy and super moist. I will use this again. But i cheated a little, i used ready made frosting

Gooey Butter Cake III

Grandma's Corn Pudding

I made this recipe for my friends who are from England. It turned out wonderful. I followed the recipe exactly without any problems. I had such rave reviews even from my picky children who do not like to eat their veggies. I doubled the reciped and it still turned out WONDERFUL. I definitely have to give this recipe 5 complete stars. thanks Lisa for sharing this with us!

Sweet Potato Pie I

I am a southern girl. I was looking for a recipe that was close to my mother's taste and I think I found it. I made this recipe for our holiday after Ramadan. It was a winner in my house. I made a small change-instead of using pie crust i used graham cracker crust and it was terrific!!!!
