Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
My husband and I really enjoyed this salad. The kids didn't like the dressing, so next time I'll leave that off of theirs. This was a really nice change from our usual tossed salad with dinner. I took the advice of others and made the dressing in the blender.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
I did like many others suggested and used chicken breast rather than canned. Also layered the ingredients and baked in the oven for 25 min at 350. I used Texas Pete wing sauce and only used 3/4 cup because I was worried about it being too spicy. Next time I think I'll use a full cup. This was yummy with celery and tortilla chips. A real crowd pleaser!

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
This was my first attempt at chili and it turned out great! We aren't big chili eaters, but I will definitely make this again. I followed the recipe exactly except for omitting the cayenne pepper. My kids all enjoyed it and leftovers were great too. I served it with corn bread and salad.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
This was the best turkey ever!! I have never really liked turkey much, but this was delicious! I didn't have a large enough pot for soaking the turkey, so I flipped it after several hours. Followed the recipe exactly other than that and LOVED it. This is the only way I'll make turkey from now on.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I used chicken stock instead of the water and bouillon and added 1 diced carrot. It was delicious! The kids all loved it and I think leftovers will be yummy too. The best part was how quickly it came together - about 25 minutes from start to finish!

Italian Cream Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly and found that it was MUCH to sweet, rich and dense for my family. It is a beautiful cake and my husband said he liked it. Beware - a little slice is all you need! I'm not sure that I will make this again.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Really delicious! My family loved it and my kids even said they loved all the veggies in it! I used spinach and added more broth. I also cooked the pasta separately as many people suggested. I sauted some onion and celery with the carrots first. I cooked the meatballs in the soup as the recipe says and we didn't find the soup to greasy at all. This soup came together in about 30 minutes and was a hit with the whole family. I'll definitely make it again!

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
Yummy! I did as others recommended and added 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and replaced the butter with applesauce. It made 24 mini muffins and 6 regular sized muffins. We will definitely make these again!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
My kids loved this soup! I did change it a little because I wanted to make it in the crock pot. I only used 2 cans of broth and then used my handheld blender once it was cooked. I served it in bread bowls with salad and it was a hit!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
This has a really nice flavor, and made a ton! I split it into two dishes and froze one and also had extra sauce that I froze for later. My only issue was with the noodles. I followed the directions and found that I didn't really like the texture of the noodles. I wish they had been a little firmer and next time I might use less ricotta. Overall very tasty.
