All I did was add left over cubes of ham in between the layers.. excellent just like mom used to make without the flour in the layers that was dry because the milk didn't reach it. Kids love this very much, even my very picky autistic son came back for thirds!!

Matcha Green Tea Ice Latte

I cannot stand when someone adds sweet to Green tea. I have spent three years and Japan loving the fact I could drink real green tea without some berry, honey or some other sweetener added. If you do not add the honey it does not take away from the natural sweetness of the Matcha. It took me awhile to get used to how sweet Matcha is but I love it and to add honey would just take it beyond sweet. Try it first without the honey, trust me.. you will be pleasantly surprised!

Tofu a la Bourguignonne

I added a whole 6 oz can of tomato paste and about 1/2 cup of water. We also used crumbles instead of tofu. We served it over pasta and my kids ate it up. Did I tell them it was tofu?

Merlot-Peppercorn Steak Sauce

Reminded me of peppercorn steak I had in Germany at a castle while I was there waiting to come home after being sent there from Afghanistan. It was the first real thing I had been able to eat and keep down so this is very special to me. I too added cream to it because the sauce I had also had cream but everything else was the same. Thank you for bringing back excellent memories!!

Sourdough Starter - Wheat

This starter works well with nature occuring yeast. It does not use store bought yeast. It produces a great bread as long as you baby the starter like it states in the directions.

Puerto Rican Pork Roast

We used a roast that was only 5 lbs but added the vinegar and enjoyed that roast for days! It was amazing.. even the picky eaters in the home loved this pork..

Margarita Grilled Shrimp

We did take out the tequilla because we do not drink in our home but this is awesome! We have used this for grilling shrimp and pork chops. My kids beg for this almost weekly. We do use a bit more lime to give it more liquid.
