Simple and very delicious. Followed recipe exactly and the baguettes came out perfect. Have made these many times since, and will make many more.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This is delicious! I really wanted to try monkey bread so I chose this simple recipe. It was incredibly quick and easy. Heed the warning about waiting for 10 minutes while it cools, the glaze is really hot. When you flip it out the glaze spills out onto the top and covers it. It's really good warm, but I cooled it to room temperature and took it to a get-together and it was devoured. Will make again and again. :) Thanks.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
Great in a pinch. If you want something better - you'll need more time. But I think that's why this recipe is cool; it's QUICK and SIMPLE. Actually, it tastes just like that dough mix that's included in the Chef Boyardee pizza kits, if you've ever had those. I usually make a different, more involved, pizza dough but I needed to make one fast, as I had company coming over for dinner. It got the job done.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Excellent recipe! Only changes I made were: Instead of just milk, I mixed 1 cup skim milk with 1 cup heavy cream and divided as necessary. Omitted the raisins (don't like them). Also, instead of using a separate saucepan after cooking the rice, I just did it all in the same one as this keeps all the starch in the mix! (makes it a tad creamier) :) Thanks for sharing!

Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
Delicious and sweet without being too sweet. Only change I made to original recipe is I added 1/4 tsp nutmeg. My apples didn't get done enough in the time specified, so I kept the pie in for an additional 30 min. Something seemed amiss with the liquid; I didn't see the pie bubbling like I'm used to, but it may have been my apples or oven. At any rate, it was a great tasting pie, and even better the next day reheated and topped with vanilla ice cream.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
I used standard cream instead of the heavy, omitted the parsley, and used a blend of shredded cheeses. After adding in the cheese and garlic, I added in some roughly chopped spinach that I sautéed with garlic and butter. Spooned over sautéed chicken breast fillets and fettucini. Everyone LOVED it. Excellent recipe! It's now my go-to alfredo recipe.
