French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2014
Made this tonight, excellent flavor. Next time I will not add anymore salt. I think the broths and Worstershire sauce had enough. Otherwise, as I said next time....because I Will be making it again.

Chicken Chimichangas with Sour Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2013
These were delicious! All gone in one night. Next time I will double the recipe at lease so I can have some to freeze. The only things I changed was after adding the spices as called for...I added a heaping tablespoon of home made taco seasoning-II from Allrecipes. Also I used 2 lg fresh diced jalapenos rather than the can peppers. A big Hit!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2013
Really nice flavor combination with the onion powder and celery, I didn't have fresh celery, so I used celery seed instead and I also added a generous 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Will make it again using celery....but it works very well with celery seed.

Italian Style Flounder

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
I made this just as recipe called for, except instead of fresh tomatoes I used a sweet tomato jam I bought at the farmers market. So yummy, hubby loved it and I enjoyed it too, even though I am not a fish fan. Try to eat it once in awhile for the health benifits. Will be making again.

Carrot, Tomato, and Spinach Quinoa Pilaf

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
Love this, full of yummy flavor and healthy too! I used oraganic chicken paste instead of bouillon with 2 cups of water. The one thing I am learning with Quinoa is to make the dish ahead of time. As yummy as this was,(and another quinoa dish I made a few weeks ago)the consistancy was a little soupy for me. Had it anyway with a leisurely dinner, by the time we were cleaning up it had absorbed more of the broth into the quinoa, even better for luch the next day. Will be making this again!

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2012
Loved it, husband did too. I made as recipe says, but added minced garlic. I also melted a little coconut oil and mixed with more minced garlic and chopped rosemary & pepper and put it under the skin. Easy to prepare and smelled devine while roasting. Will be a regular in my chicken night rotation! I like the thought of doing two at a time so we can have it in a salad. Thanks for this easy and yummy recipe!

Lemony Quinoa

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
I love this recipe, already made it a 2nd time. I couldn't find pine nuts, so I subbed with roasted sunflower seeds, and added a garlic clove on 2nd batch. I also sauted the celery & onion breifly. This is yummy warm or cold. I served the rest of the batch I made yesterday cold on a bed of baby spinach leaves for a side dish to go with dinner. Will be making often.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
This is an awesome soup, made just as recipe calls for, except I used coconut oil instead of butter for the sauce, added some garlic powder and instead of bullion I just used chicken stock to cook the potatoees, onion, celery and ham. Hubby really liked it too, he is not a soup fan so much, but said 4 times...very good! Will be making again before the summer is done. Living in Florida..may be making well into the fall!

Wilted Cabbage Salad with Bacon

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2012
I changed a few things after making it the 1st time exactly as recipie is, I do not use the vinegar (as it is not a flavor we care for that much) I also add more garlic and add fresh sliced rings of onions. I cook the onion and garlic in coconut oil, not the bacon fat. It is a lot of work for me, because I do not own a food processor, but well worth it, as it has become one of my favorite veggie dishes.

I made this with Organic Cranberry Beans and it came out wonderful. Used part of it to make a 7 Layer Taco Dip (this site) for Superbowl weekend, all of it was a big hit with the hubby. Will make again soon and often.

Peanut Butter Fudge IV

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
The flavor is very good, but it is not the consistany I was hoping for, having a hard time cutting it into squares without bringing most of the other pieces with it. I just stuck in the fridge to see if that helps. If I try this again, perhaps I will cut down a bit on the amount of milk.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Just tried this recipe tonight, it tasted yummy and was easy to make. I did as some other reviewers did and cooked the chicken in oil from the sun dried tomatoes, and also added some thinly sliced red onions while tossing it all together, otherwise followed the recipe as is. So good and full of wonderful flavors. will be another one in my rotation....
