I have been cooking about 35 years. My Dad was in the Navy and my Mom worked so I cooked. I got tired of preparing boxed "meals" and decided to try really making dinners. My brothers were perfectly happy with "just add water and ground beef" meals with no aspirations on cooking so I had to find something for my higher tuned palette. I became interested in much more complex and fine eating and so my journey began. I cook anything from homemade empanadas to beef wellington. I love to see people enjoy my cooking. It is an absolute treat.
My favorite things to cook
I love French, Italian and Mexican cuisine but I'll try anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up eating Mexican and German food. I know...weird mix. :P
My cooking triumphs
Homemade eggplant Parmesan. Homemade spicy green chili enchiladas.
My cooking tragedies
French puffy omelet. I misread the recipe and put in 3 tbsps. salt! Yuck! Of course, I was 12 years old at the time so it didn't register that that was A LOT of salt. To this day, my little brother won't eat omelets! Haha!
