Slow-Cooked Short Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I seem to rate high or low! These were liked by family and eaten. I just found them too sweet and frankly un remarkable. I must add that this also is better than most ribs on this site and thank you!

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I did not like this. This was close but? I use one stick butter-3/4 jar parmesan romano alot of cream or half and half and any fresh herbs I choose. Put the cream and butter and cheese in a big bowl and micro. it for 5-8 minutes. Stir frequently. Add cooked pasta and shrimp or chicken. Very thick very fattening and really just a tweak to this basic recipe. No offence but I like a thick sauce.

Pork Chop and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Oh my! I have made this so many times and it was from my gram also. I only recently did the rice on the side (low carber) Of course I love it best cooked with the rice! I also was told to add dry sherry into the soup to taste and it is great with or without it. Loved this for decades!

Halibut Supreme

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
ok but way too heavy for fish. I did love this on chicken breasts and had a ton of the topping mix to save for another time. Crushed buttered ritz cracker make a killer crunch also. Might make this as just a dip with vegies. Thank you!

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
The best I ever had!!!!!! Just like a great pricy restaurant. I also added cilantro flakes as I only had 8 basil leafs. I also doubled this and have a freezer full of 4 pints so it is enough for eight servings! I will be visiting my mom who is ill and stock her freezer. I also had my bowl with a little grated chedder. This is a great low carb soup so since I don't count fat or calories it was perfect for dinner! thank you

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
These were delicious! They were gone in minutes of serving. I used my Nu Wave oven and no mess or smoke and easily done in 10 minutes. The fat drips off the racks into the bottom pan. I scewered them on wooden scewers and made sure to leave about a half inch between them so all sides were cooked without turning. This was so easy clean and delicious! For great appetizers every cook needs an appliance like this.

So much for big sloppy mess! These worked well and will be a star at our HOA party which I host yearly on Memorial day! Had neighbors rate them and each one was a ten by our rating system. Will have several more favorites from this site. Thanks PJ.
