Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
Made exactly as written and the flavor was great. I did have a problem with the bacon being firm in some bites and slimy in others. Next time I will just roll it up on a toothpick and discard after cooking. All my guests felt the same.

perfect!! Almost no carbs and all the crunch and any fresh grated cheese works--just watch the oven carefully! I have made these for many years but this recipe is well perfect. Thanks and do enjoy this fuss free nest of perfection.

Sherry Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Very Delicious! I used pears as that is what I had and it was amazing. I microwaved the sliced pears one minute to get the juices started before baking. I also put pears on top and bottom to keep in moisture of the pork.I also melted a whole stick of butter and sauce was very creamy.

Stuffed Jack-O-Lantern Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
so cute but mine wrinkled and aged while cooking--kind of like I did! Very tasty. I used rice instead of bread and tomato sauce as that what was handy. Mine looked much spookier due to my wrinkles--Yours are much more CASPER friendly pepper lanterns.

Made this this morning and halved the recipe. It is delicious. Goes great with celery, radishes peppers and cherry tomatoes. I also added about three ounces softened cream cheese to make firmer. Love the low carb content.

Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
Just made it this morning for brunch and it was fabulous!!!!!!!!! Used a George F. grill and package of pesto. Really the best ever eaten. I used regulaar white bread as it was all I had but next time I will use a good italian. Thanks for this great recipe!made it again and did low carb. tortillas. Out Of This World! Basil is not in any market so went to Public and got the tube of basil and added a bit of olive oil and a few pine nuts-mixed it in a small ramikin and spread a touch on both sides. OMG!!!!!!!!!so so great and thanks. I just am craving this but trying to do lower carbs and this was just the best 5 net carb sandwich I ever ate!

Orange-Raisin Toasting Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
this did not make itself! The prep time is wrong as you have to wait for it to double 45 minutes. It was just dense and lacking in a flavor balance of sweet and savory I think. I will not make this again and never give to drop by friends with tea!

I baked it because I did not see any directions for the fry method. Fry in oil or oil/butter and how much but it came out very good baked.

Crazy Chicken Marinade Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
This was too much lime and it overpowered the other flavors. No one was thrilled but it did smell amazing on the grill. I will use less lime if I make it again and maybe some orange juice for sweetness to balance the lime.

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I did not like this. This was close but? I use one stick butter-3/4 jar parmesan romano alot of cream or half and half and any fresh herbs I choose. Put the cream and butter and cheese in a big bowl and micro. it for 5-8 minutes. Stir frequently. Add cooked pasta and shrimp or chicken. Very thick very fattening and really just a tweak to this basic recipe. No offence but I like a thick sauce.
