Slaw for Two

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
I used the pre-packed coleslaw mix and made exactly as stated except I added red onion instead of green peppers. It's very good and the hot sauce gives it a great little kick. And I love that there is no sugar added!! (great for me who is watching carbs.)

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
This was great! So easy to throw together after work. I did not marinate it but will next next time. I will also use the other reviewers suggestions of adding other ingredients in the pan like veggies, garlic, potatoes and pineapple.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
So yummy!! Lightly spritzed the dish w/ cooking spray and placed tabs of butter around the meat before putting it in the oven. Also used seasoned breadcrumbs since it was all I had. Took about 30 min to cook. My husband and I devoured this!!

Ultimate Party Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
These were gobbled up and got rave reviews at the party I took them to! Premade the meatballs, heated the sauce in the slow cooker, added the balls along with a little brown sugar and lemon juice and cooked on low for a couple hours. Yum!

Ranch Ham Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
Maybe I put too much spread on each tortilla but these were not a hit at my party :( My husband said nobody wants to eat a cream cheese sandwhich ?? I didn't think they were that bad - a little overpowering if you had more than 1. 3 stars cuz they were easy and fun to make and looked yummy.

Disappeared fast and I received tons of compliments when I took this on a camping trip with friends. Made exactly as stated except I used cherry tomatoes and broccoli instead of peppers. It was a huge hit!

Apple Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This was delicious and so easy! But definitely turned out to be more of a cake than bars. I drizzled caramel syrup and dusted powdered sugar on top of mine after baking.

This was fairly good. Next time I will use a red onion and red wine vinegar as I think it needed to be sweeter.

This was amazing!! Mixed everything until just combined - about 50 strokes. Added a little salt and pepper and a big handful of shredded cheddar. It tasted sooooo good and was a total hit at the holiday dinner party!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
This was okay but not as good as I was hoping. I used boiled chicken and shredded it so maybe next time I will try canned chicken (eek) or use the pre-packaged kind from Perdue.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
I used reduced fat mayo and celery seed because I didn't have dill. It was probably the celery seed's fault but I just didn't enjoy the flavor. I like the concept though and will definitely try again!

Aunt Mary's Banana-Chocolate Chip Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
Melt in my mouth mmmm!! Excellent, simple recipe. I used 1 and 1/2 sticks of butter. Took 70 minutes to bake through. This was more chocolatety than I expected but that's a good thing, right? This was also the first time I ever made banana bread. Will definitely make this again! Thank you!
