Breakfast Treat

So easy. I had all the ingredients on hand for unexpected lunch guests. I also buttered the bread on both sides as a replacement for the melted butter. I also added pepper to taste. I only had time to refrigerate for an hour but that was long enough. Great recipe and I wouldn't hesitate to make again for guests. There were four of us eating and the whole pan was gone. I would make two pans if you have more than four guests. Thank you for this gem!

Frosted Banana Bars

Great banana bars! They are cake-like and delicious. I also used the Cream Cheese II frosting recipe. I can't say enough good things about these bars. You can't go wrong making them.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

LOVED it! I liked the sirloin better than the chicken. I thought the chicken got too salty wrapped in the bacon. I also marinated for about three hours. The sirloin also tasted delicious without the bacon. YUM!!!

Cream Cheese Squares

Yum! I topped the cream cheese mixture with fresh strawberries, then sprinkled a teaspoon of sugar over the crescent crust. I was mostly surprised that my hubby, who normally doesn't like deserts, LOVED these bars!

All American Apple Pie

I made this for my sister-in-law's birthday becasue she doesn't like cake. It was delicious! I used 3 granny smith and 2 red delicious apples. Not too sweet. Also used brown sugar on the crumb topping instead of white. Also added a handful of oats and sprinkle of cinnamon to the topping. Will definitely make again!

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Mmm!! These are great, recipe as-is. I baked for 10 minutes which might've been a tad too long. They're pretty hard, but it just depends on how soft you like your molasses cookies. Next time I make them I'll take them out a little earlier.

So simple and delicious! I used Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts instead of the Kisses for Valentine's Day. It gives them a kicked-up peanut butter taste. YUM!

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

So easy! I made a lattice top, brushed milk on the crust and sprinkled white sugar over it. Didn't add butter. It is one of the tastiest pies I've ever made! I also baked for just shy of 40 minutes, and then turned the oven off and left it in there for 20 minutes so it would thicken up. I did NOT cook the rhubarb beforehand. The filling is delicious!
