Slow Cooker Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
These were great! Nick is a professed ribaholic loved the sauce and said how tender the meat was, it fell off the bone. I'll definitely be making this recipe again!

Hot Cross Buns I

Reviewed: May 12, 2014
Excellent! I doubled the recipe which I think was too much for bread maker. Keep same yield and will make a 8 x 13 pan.

Add 1/2 cup of lemon juice and 1/4 cup of flour too and I omited the nuts, just left it plain. For topping, lemon juice and icing sugar until runny. Yum!

Smothered Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
I only added 1/4 cup of water. I warmed up refried beans with some water and put in layers: Tortillas, refried beans, riccotta, meat mix, shredded tex-mex cheese. I topped it with more tex-mex cheese, cilantro and chopped olives. The family loves it!

Excellent. I added an extra 2 tsp of cumin and a bit more chili powder. I also added 1 tbsp of canned chilis. Instead of water and chicken broth, I just added one tetra pack of chicken broth.

I used my bread maker recipe but the gooey recipe from here. I melted 3/4 cup of butter and then I added 3/4 cup of brown sugar but did not boil on stove. I poured it on bottom of pan and sprinkled pecans.

I used two cans of clams, two cans of evaporated milk and then regular milk to make 4 cups. For the roux, use only 1/2 cup of marg and 1/2 cup of flour. I chopped cooked bacon at the end and put it in. It was excellent.

Shrimp Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2014
I loved it but next time I will parboil the potatoes to speed up cooking time. I only added 1/2 block of cream cheese and two cans of evaporated milk. I added 2 cloves of garlic, minced and 1 tbsp of dried parsley for colour. I added a can of baby clams with its water for more flavour.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2014
If using frozen rhubarb put 1/4 cup of flour. This was excellent and the ladies at the retreat loved it! I also added sliced almonds to the crumble on top. Perfect just the way it is, no need to alter measurements. :)

Excellent! I dippled the eggplant in an egg wash first and then into bread crumbs and fried them in olive oil. Made them stay nice and crunchy before going into oven.
