It all started when my Mom put the "wrong label" on Christmas presents from Santa to me and my sister. She got the Hot Wheels and I got the Easy Bake Oven. When I found out you could make food with it.......I KEPT IT !!! Anything that can be put on a grill We like to do family night at least 2 or 3 times a month. One person in the family gets to choose something for dinner that we have make together. The most popular is Sushi and Pizza. I was in charge of the "Bake Shop" on board the USS Lexington in Pensacola, FL. I did all the daiy baking for 1800 sailors. In April 1985 I won the Sailor of the Quarter and was nominated for Sailor of he Year. Once again, this happened on board the USS Lexington. Our Commanding Officer was having VIP's on board one particular morning and requested to have a dozen pastries be available for the guests. I chose to make your basic cinnamon roll. I always brush my rolls with butter before I add my vanilla glaze. I always kept melted butter in my reach in cooler for many reasons. I kept 2 types....regular and garlic. GUESS WHICH ONE I GRABBED ? I told my assistant to melt a little and lightly brush them. Well, the C.O. thought kinda funny....I was mortified.
