Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
Follow the recipe exactly and let them fully cool on their baking sheets. They taste awesome the next day. I might add some extra white sugar on top of the confectioner's, next time, since I like sweeter butter cookies.

Panang Curry with Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
Like someone already mentioned, cook the curry powder in oil, first. Then add the onions and cook until caramelized. Finally add the rest of the spices, stewed tomatoes, etc., one by one. I added pre-seasoned rotisserie chicken instead of plain. I also used a blend of 6 oz of plain greek yogurt and 6oz coconut milk. Don't forget the lemon juice!! I didn't have to add any salt and it turned out to be perfect. It only took about 25 minutes to prepare and cook everything. It sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't! and as long as you have a bunch of spices already in your cabinet, you're good to go.

Cooked without salt. Then I added black pepper and drizzled a little soy sauce over the eggs when ready to eat.

Indian Chicken Curry (Murgh Kari)

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
Best taste after you wait for about 5hrs after making to eat it. If you want this for dinner, make it in the morning or night before. I modified the cooking instructions: first I cooked the curry powder in oil for several minutes; then I added the other spices and onions, cooked until onions were translucent; added the chicken, salt, a little more oil and chicken broth when needed; then added everything else. Mine got watery so I added one tablespoon of flour/cold water mix in the bubbling pot. The yogurt and tomatoes made my dish a little more sour than desired; next time I will use less yogurt, more coconut milk, and drain some tomato juice out before adding to my pot. If you're lacking the "kick" or isn't flavorful, it's a matter of not having enough cayenne and chili powder, or not enough salt. Overall, delicious recipe. I made twice the amount yesterday for four ppl....this morning it's all gone!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
i love this recipe! thank you so much deb. i modified it just a little by adding small chunks of tenderized chuck roast and some smoked bacon. i also used tomato sauce that was herb'ed up with garlic, basil, and oregano. i participated in my very first chili contest today with this modified version and was just 5 pts away from getting first place amongst over 20 hardcore contestants. my pot of chili was the first to go, eaten up in less than 20 minutes. for a first-time chili maker and contestant, that's not too shabby! i absolutely trust deb's recipe.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
I don't know what went wrong; for some reason, i followed all instructions, placed spoonfuls of cookie dough onto sheet and baked. the balls didn't settle down while baking, rather they maintained their ball-like shape. I used the full amount of butter (melted) and 1 tsp baking soda. I want to eat my choco chip cookies!
