Broccoli Shrimp Pasta Toss

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
We really enjoyed this but I added red pepper flakes for a little extra flavor. I also added a little extra butter (just a little),mushrooms, shrimp and broccoli. It seem to me like the recipe as is has too much pasta and too little shrimp & veggies. You could probably substitute other veggies besides broccoli and mushrooms if you had something else on hand.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This was REALLY good. I did use 95% fat free cream of chicken soup and 1/3 less fat cream cheese. With this slimmed down fat version it was still terrific. I'd highly recommend this one.

I was a bit disappointed with this recipe although my 11 year old daughter said she liked it. To me it was just so so.

Everything Nice Nuts

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
On the plus side, this was incredibly easy. That counts for a lot. The downside was that when I cooked them in the microwave for the prescribed time, they burnt a bit. I still think the taste was pretty good and I'll try this again. But be aware that you may need to cook on a little lower heat or definitely check on it before you do what I did!

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I'm a believer! I read all the fab reviews and decided to try it myself. It came out great! My entire family complemented the taste and moistness of the turkey. I will definitiely use this over and over for my turkey and I would highly recommend. By the way, I read one review that said the recipe could be a little salty so I used low sodium vegetable broth and it came out very well.

Smashed Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Tasted pretty good but only got mediocre reviews from family members. May have been that they are just not cauliflower lovers. It doesn't quite take the place of potatos but would be a wonderful addition to an otherwise complete meal.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
I used a boneless turkey breast and was concerned that it would be dry. I added about 1/2 - 1 cup of water as well as onion and celery. I cut back the total cook time by at least an hour. It was delicious and moist.

Sesame Noodles

I'm giving this 5 stars because it was really good and REALLY EASY. I didn't have chili sauce so I used ketchup instead and it seemed to taste fine. This is a definite keeper.

Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
I thought I followed this recipe exactly but I think the issue was that I used thin, lean pork loin chops. I don't think the meat had enough fat and there was not enough liquid in the recipe. The result was that this was cooked to a crisp! Based on other reviews I might try again but I would go for a cut of pork that was not so thin/lean and I would add more liquid.
