About this Cook
A sixty-something, Italian/Irish American who loves the freedom that retirement brings and my new-found ability to cook some amazing dishes.
My favorite things to cook
Spaghetti sauces, Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Wings, French Dip, and my personalized comfort foods. My nickname is BOB BUTTERTON if that gives you a hint into my cooking style...and definitely not a representative of the American Heart Accociation!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook for my family, and extended family and friends.
My cooking triumphs
Too many to list here!...LOL
My cooking tragedies
Putting a Pyrex baking dish on a burner, to thicken gravy. Do you have any idea how many shards of glass that explosion caused? The clean-up was incredible, too!!!

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars
Don't waste your time. I followed the directions and it turned out to be very dry.

Italian Chicken Marinade
I've used this recipe for years and it has never failed to produce the most moist chicken, every time.

Famous Pork Chops
Tasty, but the boneless Pork loin chops were tough. Could it have been the meat, or was I the only one who had hoped for more?
