Basic Flaky Pie Crust
This is a fantastic crust recipe! I've made it several times and now it's my go-to crust recipe. It's perfect as is for savory pies and I like to add a tablespoon or two of sugar for sweet pies. I usually use butter instead of shortening because that's what I keep on hand and it still turns out wonderfully.

Dark Chocolate Cake I
I made this cake for a friend's birthday and it was wonderful! Everyone loved it! I made one sort of accidental substitution, I used butter flavored Crisco +2 tbls of water instead of butter, I'd been reading through a bunch of recipes and couldn't remember what was needed when I went shopping. The cake was moist and delicious, with a rich, but not too sweet, chocolatey flavor. I frosted it with Rich Chocolate Frosting from this site and with my own buttercream recipe, I also filled it with a blackberry filling to cut the chocolate upon chocolate. It was a huge hit!

The Best Lemon Bars
These are fantastic! I didn't have fresh lemons, but I like them REALLY lemony so I followed a previous reviewers recommendation and used 2/3 cup lemon juice and added an extra tablespoon of flour. They are wonderfully tart! If you like less tart, more sweet then do less lemon juice and don't add the extra flour. I can't recommend these enough!
