Oven Roasted Potatoes

These potatoes are amazing! I just had my first dinner party and I served these along with baked chicken. I rarely put so many spices on potatoes, but I am glad I did! Anyway, here are a few changes I made... I omitted the dill weed, and added rosemary to compliment the spices on the chicken, and it turned out really well for me. I used red potatoes and did not peel them to keep in the nutrients, as others have suggested. Also, I followed the suggestion to lower the cooking temperature/time. I baked them at 400, then broiled them for 5 minutes to make them crispier. They tasted even better as leftovers the next day! This recipe is a definite keeper.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Excellent! I have been cooking since I was a kid, but somehow I'd never made pork before tonight. My boyfriend asked me to cook some, so I wanted a simple recipe to get me started. This was so perfect! I used pork cutlets instead of a large piece, added 1.5 tablespoons of honey, and chopped some mushrooms to put in the pan with the pork. It was fabulous. He loved it! Thank you!

Grandma's Hash Browns

Delicious! Mine were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The secret really is to boil them, then let them chill *overnight*. It made all the difference. I will be making these again.

Basic Mashed Potatoes

Very, very good mashed potatoes :-) I didn't follow the proportions exactly, but I judged how much I needed based on what the potatoes looked like. I also used heavy cream instead of milk, and added a sprinkle of fresh ground chili. It was so good!

Orange Ginger Pork Roast

This was awful... I haven't ever left a negative review on a recipe, but this was probably one of the worst things I've ever made. I followed the recipe exactly and don't know what happened. My husband, who will eat *anything* without complaint, only took two bites. We'll never make this again. Sorry :-\
