Split Pea Soup
Absolutely delicious. I added 2 extra cups of water and used no soak peas. We had a giant left over ham bone so I used that. I used plain water and just boiled the bone in the water for a little bit before I added the peas, which created a nice ham broth. If I were to add chicken broth to this I'd do half chicken broth/half water because I don't want it to be overpowering. Also didn't add any potatoes. Spice wise I upped the salt and pepper and added thyme, bay leafs, onion powder, and garlic powder. It was soooooo good. Thank you for sharing. :3

Perfect Sesame Chicken
This was waaaaaaaay too sweet, and the sauce turned out way too thick. The sesame flavor was completely lost in the sugariness of this... I added more teriyaki sauce to try and salvage it, but I ended up throwing it out. The batter, on the other hand, was very, very good. I didn't have low-sodium soy sauce, so it was a bit salty, but it had a great flavor instead of being just a bland coating for the chicken. Was very yummy with some white rice and teriyaki sauce.

Alfredo Sauce
This was amazing! I didn't have any fresh parm on me, so I used an Italian six cheese blend, which worked out pretty well. When I first added the cheese I was worried that it would be too much like a stringy ball of cheese so I added a bit of half and half (I'd used up all of the heavy cream), and it smoothed out nicely. : ) I also added salf and pepper and a bit of garlic powder, because it had a weird aftertaste (though I blame the cheese for that). Afterward, it tasted perfect. Great recipe. : )
