Tex-Mex Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
We didn't like this a bit. Probably because BBQ sauce is sweet and it just didn't seem to go with the other flavors.

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2002
Very good. I steamed fresh green beans for 2-3 minutes then sauteed them as recipe stated. A keeper.

The Best Steamed Asparagus

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2002
Good, but tasted too much like wine and too little like asparagus. Next time I'll use 1/2 wine and 1/2 water.

Slow-Cooked Shredded Beef Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2002
I liked this, but next till will not add the green chilis. It made it too sweet for my taste. I will make it again, but it still needs something...

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2002
I didn't care for this but my husband liked it. Think I'll stick with my local Indian restaurant!

Meatloaf With A Bite

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2002
Neither myself nor my husband liked this recipe. Although it's an easy recipe, it was rather bland and tasteless. I think it must be the salsa I used. I'll use the leftovers to make a taco salad!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2002
I doubled batch using leftover rotisserie chicken. Used 1 can each of Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken, used a misture of cheddar and jack cheese and used 1/2 milk and 1/2 enchilada sauce. This is an incredible dish, and oh-so-fattening! Now if someone would just post a recipe for pork Carnitas!

Maria's Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2002
Didn't have french onion soup so used lipton mixed with beef consomme; also added freeze dried mushrooms. Overall a good recipe, but salty. Next time I'll use low sodium everything!

Deviled Eggs II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2002
I used dijon mustard, low fat mayo and added spicy brown mustard after it was mixed. I think that's the true key to good deviled eggs!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2001
Absolutely delicious. I doubled sauce ingredients and used beef stock instead of boullion cubes. As for the green peppers, I cut them into quarters, added them with meat and removed them 1 hour before serving. I then added 1/4 yellow pepper, 1/4 red pepper, 1/4 orange pepper, 1/4 the green peppers and 3 cups sliced mushrooms 3/4 hour before serving. I also used low sodium soy sauce. Results were supurb. Can't wait to make it again.

Ronaldo's Beef Carnitas

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2001
Mouthwatering flavor and so easy! I made this for a dinner party and should have doubled the recipe-it went FAST! I would make this every night if I could but I must wait at least a week... only 2 days to go! I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Double-Cheese Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2001
This was good, my husband loved it. I added some A1 sauce, garlic salt, and minced onions. I also used a mixture of cheddar, jack, parmesan instead of all mozzarella. I then flattened it out on plastic wrap to a rectangle shape, added the cheese to the top and rolled it up sealing the edges. I cooked it on a rack over a pan so the fat would drip off as it cooked. Delicous!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2001
Too much Vinegar! I love balsamic, but the taste was overpowering. Next time I'd use 1/2 the vinegar.

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2001
Great! I used a little less salt and garlic than recommended, and was glad; anymore would have been too much. I'll make this one often!
