Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
so, I have never ever made banana bread, or any other kind of bread for that matter. So, some instruction regarding how much batter to put in the loaf pan would have been helpful. I didn't have the recommended size of pan and the directions just say to "spread evenly" so I filled my loaf pan. It is currently running over the edge in my oven with 44 minutes left to cook(thank goodness I put it on a baking sheet). It would just be nice to have little instructions like - fill pan 3/4 of the way - for those of us who are not bakers. I'll add more to this review once the loaf is done baking and I can eat some of it. Edit--- DELICIOUS!!! I followed some tips from other reviews, added 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 & 3/4 cup flour, mashed the bananas and measured it to 1 cup before adding, used softened butter. I also reduced the oven temp to 375 and baked for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Turned out great! Also, I used high altitude flour since I live in Colorado.

Beef Steaks With Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
This was AMAZING! We used two sirloin steaks and grilled them and then broiled them to melt the cheese. Turned out great, we'll be making this again.

Easy Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
Excellent recipe! Used it more as a base. Didn't have hoagie rolls, but we did have some onion buns that worked really well. Used red bell peppers, red onions, and instead of hot peppers we used sweet cherry peppers. Used roast beef lunch meat. Also used provolone cheese as someone else suggested. Turned out GREAT! We'll make this again.

Guy Approved Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
Very guy friendly! The boyfriend didn't know that he liked meatloaf until I made this. We usually use cheez-it crackers and either potato chips or sun chips (Harvest Cheddar flavor). Turns out GREAT every time.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
This was delicious! I didn't crush the chips, just did a single layer of whole chips in the bottom. Also I used Totitos Artisan Fire-Roasted Chipotle chips which I highly recommend. Didn't have the fresh tomatoes so I used canned diced tomatoes which worked great. Used one cup of salsa and sprinkled store-brand chili seasoning on the beef while it was cooking along with diced onion and chopped garlic (we LOVE garlic). I just spooned on the sour cream, definitely didn't use a whole 2 cups. I also substituted black beans for the chili beans. Making it again tonight! I'll post pics as soon as I have time.

Healthy Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal with Nuts

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Began adding ground flax seed, about 1 1/2 table spoon, and Hemp Hearts, about 1 1/2 table spoon, to it and that's really good as well.
