Cabbage Beef Soup
My husband andi really enjoyed this soup/stew. I made half the recipe. I followed the suggestions and I did not add cumin, added diced tomatoes, and 1 can of beef broth with 2 beef buillion cubes. I sautéed onion, celery, and carrots, and 2 cloves of garlic in olive oil seasoned with adobo seasoning and pepper. I added 3 allspice berries,a bay leaf and a little brown sugar and let it simmer for about an hour. I alao threw in some frozen mixed vegetable. Very thick and hearty. Very easy to make.

Pancakes I
I have never seen the need for homemade pancakes...until today. They were fluffy and flavorful. I ate one with just butter on it - deliciousness! I don't plan on using a mix again. I did notice the pancakes I made near the end of the batter were extremely fluffy, probably due my not mixing the dry ingredients well enough. Not a problem, just an observation...Oh yeah, I did add a little vanilla extract 1/2 tsp.

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew
I used one of the revised recipes with prepared chopped bbq chicken in a pouch. GREAT! I also added about a 1/4 tsp. of cayenne. This is quick ( I don't understand why this needs 3 hours to cook, easy and delicious. I hope my FH will like this. My whole house is smelling so good. I seasoned with a bbq seasoning (which had some celery salt in it), salt, pepper in addition to the cayenne. I added lima beans based on other comments but 1 can was not enough. I had a can of kidney beans so I threw that in, too.(no nasty comments, I had it so I used it)Next time I will use a frozen bag of limas. Thanks!
