Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
Not wanting to ruin a 4.5 lb. roast that cost upwards of $40, I tried this recipe and YES, it does work to make the roast incredibly tender and succulent. Highly recommend to all. The spice rubs can be of your own choosing but as others have emphasized, DO NOT open that oven!! It's worth it.

Lobster Thermidor

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Delicious! I did have fish stock so I used 1.5 cups of the water I used to boil the lobster and I used a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup in place of the double cream, diluting it with the white wine noted. It was quite easy to assemble and prepare and hubby thought it was the best thing ever - even better then restaurant quality.

Basic Truffles

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
I used the flavored creamers (like Creamora Hazelnut) instead of heavy cream as another viewer recommended and it really kicked up the flavor. This is my favorite kind of recipe .... quick, easy and good!! Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Fudge Drops

I used white chocolate chips and crasins and nuts. When hardened I lightly drizzled red and green frosting over them and they made a beautiful holiday presentation.

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
Quick & Easy! I didn't have enough flour so I used 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup of oatmeal and it worked great. Also threw in just a small handfull of white choc. chips and I peeled & sliced a whole granny smith apple, tossed it with the cinn. & sugar and laid the slices on top of the batter for a really nice presentation. My kids loved this recipe so it's a keeper! Thanks!

Coconut Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
Simple and Great! I did not add the flaked coconut and for that reason I think it came out smooth and creamy with a mild - almost subtle, and refreshing coconut flavor.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
Delicious and easy, my 2 favorite things in any recipe! I had a bag a cinnamon chips on hand so I used them instead of the cinnamon/sugar mixture, and mixed just 1 cup of them in to the 2nd 1/2 of the batter.

Ham Fried Rice

Quick, easy and delicious - in that order! This is a great mid-week meal. I used left over Rice-A-Roni and omitted the ginger and it was excellent.

Seafood Fettuccine

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
This dish was fantastic!! I also added a can of clams and mushrooms, as others had suggested. Instead of the 1/2 & 1/2 and cornstarch, I used sour cream and added a good splash of hot sauce.

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
Excellent recipe. I followed instructions as stated and only added some vanilla, cinnamon and netmeg to the crust, which I baked per another reviewer's suggestion for about 5 minutes before adding frozen blueberries, which I coated with sugar and cornstarch and the add'l. crumb topping. Be advised that these bars are dry, a bit more than I expected but with some vanilla ice cream or just whipped cream, they are delicious. Thanks for the recipe!!
