Lemon Yogurt Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2012
When I made this I didn't like the sugar flavor, so the next time I made it I used 1 tsp; vanilla and raw honey, just enough to give it a light sweet taste. Love the lemon in it and I used the zest from the lemon. YUM! With the changes a 3 star. With the changes 5 stars.

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
This was unbelieveable. I didn't have champagne so I used a white wine, I added a little minced garlic and some seafood seasoning. The sauce didn't seem to thicken up enough and I was afraid to keep boiling it with the cream so I added a little cornstarch and more cream. It thickened up alot then. I think I will double the wine and cream next time, but it was to die for, I had my hubby help and it was pretty easy with twp extra hands!!

Chicken and Rice Dinner

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
I made this 30 years ago but the recipe was a little different. I never browned the chicken either. I cramed as much of chicken as I could fit in. 6-8 pieces of chicken, bone in is o.k; 1 can cream of mushroom soup or celery, and a pkg; of dry onion soup mix. Add those to the milk mixture and cook it for about 1 1/2 hrs; I stirred the mixture a couple of times during baking so the rice would be done. Make sure the mixture goes to the top of the pan, if it doesn't add more water. Put a foil covered cookie sheet underkneath. I have 5 boys and they loved this. I fixed this twice a month. Very fast and delicious!!

Easy Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
This recipe was pretty good and could be a 5 with some changes. I made one for hubby, with the bisquick mix, and one for me, no bisquick (south beach diet) He thought his was a little dry, yet mine was not. Next time I will add 2 tsp; garlic and saute with onion, will add mushrooms and olives because I love them and I will cut back on the bisquick. I think that is why my hubbys was kind of dry. My hubby eats quiche at the country club alot and he thought it was real close to theirs, just a little bit dry. Probably will add just under the requirement of bisquick next time like a little more than a 1/2 cup. I felt the cheese amount was fine, would also add a little ground pepper and a dab of dijon mustard

Erica's Delicious Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I have made this roast a few times, as is, plus as the suggestions, I totally think it depends on the meat you get. Quite bland, and I did all kinds of spices. My ribs and roast came from alberetsons on sale. Wonder if the meat is old because all the roasts and ribs have been terrible!!

Frozen Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
Made these 6 times, put it in the bread machine for the 1 hr 50 min; dough cycle, rolled out as crescent, let them raise for 4 hr; then cooked, also popped them with a toothpick and froze. Took them out at midnight, was ready to cook at 6 a.m.They are alot fresher the next day if you don't do the freeer thing, but if you plan on eating them the same day after the freeze thing, you can'tcan't tell the difference. That saves alot of time. I cut the recipe down to 18 and it will do 12 large crescents. I have done alot of rolls and this is the best recipe I have ever found. I have stopped looking now. I have made 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 white flour and those are great too!!

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
This was good but, the crescent rolls just tasted like preservative maximum. It did not taste fresh, like pie dough. So I made them with pre-made pie dough, cut the circle in 8 pieces(triangle) added 2 apple slices, sprinkled the tops with alot of cinnamon and brown sugar, followed everything else and, they were so much better. You could cut back on the sugar too. They were plenty sweet!
